You will collaborate with global teams throughout the software development life cycle.\nHow You’ll Make An Impact\nDevelop production ready software following a defined software development process.\nExecuting full lifecycle software design, develop and debug new advanced features.\nDevelop firmware for MCU architectures using C/C++ within complex, multi-threaded, multi-core processors.\nPerform structured root-cause analysis on defects and implement targeted fixes.\nMaintain effective relationships with internal and external customers and represent the team during technical reviews.\nWork both independently and within large global teams with little direct supervision.\nIdentify improvement opportunities and lead efforts to port, optimize, modify, fix, and extend existing code as necessary.\nReview test plans and vectors to guarantee full verification of systems and components.\nWrite well-designed, testable code.\nIntegrate software components into a fully functional software system.\nSupport creation of the content for product internal and external documentation.\nPerform design, code and tests review.\nCreate and document software and module’s architecture.\nWhat Makes You A Strong Fit\nAt least 5+ years of experience in C/C++ in embedded firmware.\nExperience with development on embedded platforms with MCU.\nFamiliar with HW embedded systems around SoC, MCU.\nExperience in audio products in automotive applications.\nWorking experience with debugging hardware/firmware/software interaction during board bring-up and subsequent updates.\nExperience with one or more major open Operating System (Embedded Linux/Free RTOS etc.).\nWorking knowledge of digital communication protocols: I2C, SPI, UART, USB.\nExperience with JTAG development and debugging.\nFamiliar with Agile development methodologies and test-driven development.\nDeep knowledge of embedded device constraints and how to root cause or debug issues through the entire SW development life cycle.\nResourcefulness and troubleshooting attitude.\nExcellent communication skills.\nEducation: Masters/Bachelors in Computer Science or Electronics and Communication Engineering or related field.\nFamiliar with design patterns.\nExperienced in creating high-quality cross platform reusable software. \nSelf-motivated, result driven individual, must be passionate about the work.\nKnowledge in git/Gerrit, cmake and python build environment.\nBonus Points if You Have\nExperience in DSP sharc and ADC chipsets.\nExperience with DSP Architecture and DSP assembly language programming.\nHands-on electronics system debug experience with JATG.\nExperience in Drivers porting for MCU and DSP chipsets.\nSkills in POSIX and proficient in real time multi-threaded software design and development.\nThings To Know\nYou have a working knowledge of English.\nYou are willing to travel, if necessary.\nDue to the nature of global infrastructure, you understand that flexibility in working hours is required.\nYou can obtain a government security clearance; You are eligible to work in China.\nWhat You Can Expect\nA hybrid work environment that balances flexibility with in-person collaboration, with most office-based roles onsite four days a week (if applicable).\nAccess to employee discounts on HARMAN products (including JBL, Harman / Kardon, AKG, and others)\nLearning and development opportunities through our award-winning HARMAN University programs\nWellness benefits designed to support your overall well-being\nAccess to the HARMAN campus fitness center and cafeteria, where available\nAn inclusive and diverse work environment that supports both your professional and personal development\nHARMAN is proud to be an Equal Opportunity / Affirmative Action employer.
