The candidate is expected to lead and architect Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) architecture, drive improvements and keep pace with our growth while motivating change to address the challenges of software platforms and provide a resilient service to all customers of Software Products.\nYour Team\nReport to the Director of Operations and functionally manage technical teams.\nWhat You Will Do\nBe the customer champion and be responsible for taking ownership as a turnaround specialist to meet customer expectations.\nSolve complex global customer service issues and proactively prevent negative service trends.\nBe responsible for championing customer RFP proposal responses with appropriate estimations for cloud, applications, service-level requirements, and implementation efforts.\nWork with R&D and Engineering teams and ensure good collaboration while operational issues are prioritized and resolved.\nBe responsible for performance, capacity, and forecasting of cloud and application stacks.\nAdditional responsibilities include interviewing, training, and motivating team members.\nEffectively partner and build productive working relationships with direct reports, peers, leadership, and other departments. Support the sourcing strategy and provide oversight of IT vendor relationship management.\nSupport troubleshooting and service restoration during issues and outages when necessary.\nDemonstrate competency in leadership, judgment, collaboration, and a results-driven approach.\nWhat You Need to Be Successful\nHighly experienced IT professional who has well-rounded experience in Software Engineering, architectural thinking, operations and reliability engineering, and project management.\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.\n13+ years of software services background, especially with automotive experience.\nStrong knowledge of Automotive Industry IoT solutions based on Public Cloud & Kubernetes.\nExcellent demonstrable skills in software industry tools and techniques.\nStrong knowledge of Java-based application stacks with a good understanding of relational & NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, DocumentDB, Cosmos DB, etc.\nStrong knowledge of edge computing, especially for automotive and connected vehicle solutions.\nStrong knowledge of HiveMQ, Kafka and MQTT protocols.\nExperience working in CI/CD & DevSecOps processes of SDLC (GitHub & others).\nProven experience or demonstrated capability in responding to RFPs and solution development.\nExperienced in solutioning and estimation of cloud-based software stacks.\nSound knowledge of Software-Defined Vehicle architecture and tools.\nExcellent knowledge of compliance & Cybersecurity requirements within Automotive domains.\nSkills in AI & AIOps, Application Performance Management (APM) & distributed tracing.\nSound acumen in automation and ability to visualize automation frameworks that will provide operational efficiencies and faster identification and resolution.\nBonus Points if You Have\nExcellent customer interfacing skills.\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain technical & business concepts and technologies to senior leaders.\nSound knowledge of cloud-based infrastructure, preferably AWS and Azure.\nExperience managing cross-functional teams and influencing key stakeholders across the organization and within complex contexts.\nExperience or demonstrated capability in leading multi-disciplinary cross-functional teams in complex and dynamic environments.\nEffective influencing and negotiation skills in an environment where resources may not be under the direct control of this role.\nSelf-motivated and able to identify issues and drive improvements.\nWhat Makes You Eligible\nStay abreast of the latest technology trends - AI, SSDLC, SDV, Microservices Architecture, etc.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills in English.\nTravel requirements - willingness to travel, if necessary (approximately 15% annually).\nSuccessfully complete a background investigation.\nWork from the office 3 days a week.\n\n What We Offer\nFlexible work environment.\nExtensive training opportunities through our own HARMAN University.\nCompetitive wellness benefits.\nAn inclusive and diverse work environment that fosters and encourages professional and personal development. \n#LI-MK1\nHARMAN is proud to be an Equal Opportunity / Affirmative Action employer.
