The primary responsibility is to create system design and architecture for Car Audio Systems.\nThe System Architecture team is looking for the ultimate team player with positive and constructive thinking. The Successful candidate will have a demonstrated record of accomplishment of success with audio systems architecture and customer facing interaction.\nYour Team\nThis position will have no reports\nHow You’ll Make An Impact\nContribute to the overall system software architecture for embedded systems and SOC based designs\nCreate System SW Design and Architecture on mid to high complex Systems, Platforms and modules for Car Audio Systems from basic idea up to product launch\nLead and steer the software architecture team (MCU, DSP, AVB, Others) to ensure feasibility, performance and cost optimized product design\nParticipate in the selection of next generation key components for the digital processing core\nDevelop the designs in cooperation with the system architect, cybersecurity architect and FuSa architect\nPrepare system definition based on analysis of customer requirements in RFQ phase\nPerform technical presentations directly with OEM’s\nSoftware System definition based on analysis of internal and customer requirements\nGenerating detailed Software System block diagram under consideration of Harman guidelines\nPerform design reviews for each development stage ensuring compliance to the software system design requirements\nMaintain appropriate knowledge of current and future technologies, methods and tools, related to system engineering and software system architecture\nEngage with OEM’s and customer teams guiding them on Harman audio system solutions matching the OEM vehicle architecture\nWhat You Need to Be Successful\nMaster or Bachelor’s degree with appropriate software/hardware and embedded system working knowledge\n10+ Year’s experience in OEM automotive product design (audio systems preferred)\nVehicle communication bus experience CAN, Ethernet, A2B\nOnboard communication busses such as, I2C, (O, Q)SPI, TDM, UART\nHardware & Software development, debugging, and validation experience\nIn-Depth understanding of the automotive product design and development process\nSolid background in using development tools for requirements management and system design\nAbility to communicate architecture concepts and ideas persuasively and concisely to all levels of business\nGood written and verbal communication in English\nFlexible in terms of tasks and responsibility\nAbility to build relations and work independently\nSelf-motivated, passionate about audio and high sense of responsibility\nBonus Points if You Have\nDSP SW knowledge\nExperience with Enterprise Architect - EA\nExperience with DOORS Next gen - DNG\nIdeal candidates have experience working as an audio, infotainment, or other automotive module engineer with automotive OEM customers\nExperience with Audio Frameworks, AutoSAR and RTOS\nBasic understanding of CyberSecurity and Functional Safety\nKnowledge of Automotive SPICE process\nEmbedded system software development in C/C++ and model-based familiarity\nExperience working with automotive OEM in an embedded system development\nTS16949 and other quality tools (PPAP,APQP,MSA,SPC,DFMEA) familiarity\nCreation of issue countermeasure quality document\nWhat Makes You Eligible\nWillingness to travel 10% of the time\n· Willingness to travel to customer locations when requested\nWhat You Can Expect\nA hybrid work environment that balances flexibility with in-person collaboration, with most office-based roles onsite three days a week. \nAccess to employee discounts on HARMAN and Samsung products (including JBL, Harman / Kardon, AKG, and others) \nLearning and development opportunities through our award-winning HARMAN University programs \nWellness benefits designed to support your overall well-being \nAn inclusive and diverse work environment that supports both your professional and personal development \n#LI-Hybrid\nHARMAN is proud to be an Equal Opportunity / Affirmative Action employer.
