This position will lead software validation for projects or teams on connectivity, both on test bench and in-vehicle.\nWhat You Will Do\nHelp improve software test cases, test processes, methods, and documentation.\nLeads system/sw validation for projects or teams on connectivity, both on test bench and vehicle.\nInitiates and fosters team wide activities in learning and adopting new and relevant state of the art technologies for automotive infotainment, consumer electronics, embedded systems, software testing, and test tools.\nMeet regularly with project teams and partners to ensure milestones are defined, understood and being met. Identify dependencies, risks, and drive resolution to roadblocks.\nUnderstand the technical details of the product to a level that you can effectively communicate with the customer and the engineering team.\nIdentifies product requirement or performance issues. Work with software teams and/or partners to implement solutions to meet those requirements\nWork using an agile development process and maintain status in JIRA.\nReport regularly on project status to appropriate stakeholders.\nWork with peer project test leads across Harman and other customers to ensure dependencies and schedules are aligned.\nWhat You Need to Be Successful\n· 5+ years’ experience in automotive projects and testing of Infotainment or telematic systems\n· Working knowledge of technology, tools, and test methods for connectivity\n· Working knowledge of functional and non-functional software testing, the software test life cycle, and various test design methodologies.\n· Good working knowledge of CAN protocol, CAN analyzer tools\n· Expertise in testing on Embedded Systems or Android Platform, Android Applications\n· Expertise in test/debug tools\n· Good working knowledge of test automation, scripting languages\n· Expertise in software testing across all phases of Software Development Life Cycle\n· Expert in test case development, test execution, test management, test status reporting\n· Excellent time management & organizational skills with keen attention to detail\n· Effectively works under tight deadlines and manage projects independently\n· Experience with Agile and Scrum methodology\n· Experience with Jira is a plus.\n· Strong written and verbal communication skills\n· Resourcefulness in solving problems and overcoming obstacles\n· Strong professionalism and judgment\n· BS Computer Science/Engineering desired, MS strongly preferred.\n\nBonus Points if You Have\n· Software testing training (SQE, ISTQB, etc.)\n· Dedicated performer with the ability to advocate appropriately for product quality\n· Relentless learner with a dedication to learn new technologies and test methods\n· Avid follower of the latest technology and products in consumer electronics\n· Embedded programming experience\n· Real-time programming and real-time operating systems\n· Programming languages and platforms (C/C++, Java, .NET, Android, J2ME, Windows Mobile)\n· Embedded hardware/system design\nWhat Makes You Eligible\nWilling to travel, if necessary.\nBe willing to work in an office in Novi.\nSuccessfully complete a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment\nThis position requires the use of a use of a HARMAN or customer-owned vehicle.
