You will help ensure product quality by verifying that customer and process testing requirements are met, increasing test coverage as needed, and supporting optimization, innovation, process improvements, production lines, and new technology integration through the HARMAN Production System philosophy.\nYour Team\nYou will work closely with Manufacturing Test Engineering, Test Engineering, Production, Quality, EHSS, and cross-functional teams involved in test equipment, testing devices, test sequences, production line support, and new model launches.\nHow You’ll Make An Impact\nGenerate procedures to carry out activities within the testing area.\nReview progress in test software for all test devices on a production line.\nDetect root causes of repetitive problems and escapes, then support corrective actions to solve the issue.\nPropose improvements to production test equipment to increase operational efficiency.\nGenerate test sequences for new models and modify current sequences upon request.\nSupport current plant operations with test sequences and support line installation of testing equipment.\nConduct GR&R studies to validate equipment capacity for new devices and products.\nReceive and test the functionality of new testing devices.\nCoordinate anechoic chamber tests for new speaker designs.\nCollaborate with Test Engineering to analyze test results and recommend limit and setting adjustments.\nProgram test sequences and provide technical support for testing platforms and equipment.\nParticipate in and provide support for quality and EHSS systems management, objectives, targets, and programs.\nPerform other job-related activities assigned by the supervisor.\nWhat Makes You A Strong Fit\nHigh school diploma or bachelor’s degree.\nExperience in acoustics.\nExperience using test instruments such as calipers, micrometers, oscilloscopes, audio analyzers, and similar tools.\nAbility to design and interpret circuits.\nBasic experience with testing equipment such as Alfamation, ICTs, programmers, JTAG, boundary scan, and EOLTs.\nExperience with LabVIEW, test sequencers, and known platforms such as TestStand and ApWin.\nExperience in escape or failure mode analysis.\nEnglish proficiency of approximately 70%, including the ability to read technical information, write, and maintain a technical conversation.\nBonus Points if You Have\nLeadership, change-oriented collaboration, judgment, and results-driven mindset.\nKnowledge of automotive electronics fault analysis, quality systems, and standards such as VDA, field failure analysis, ISO 9001, ISO 14000, and AIAG manuals.\nExperience with 8D methodology, Core Tools, and Six Sigma.\nKnowledge of geometric tolerances and GD&T.\nTwo years of experience in transducer manufacturing or a related position in the automotive industry.\nAbility to interpret drawings and technical plans.\nOrientation to results, continuous improvement, attention to detail, and ability to follow established procedures.\nCustomer orientation, effective communication, and teamwork.\nBasic pneumatic knowledge, including operation of pneumatic equipment and interpretation of diagrams.\nBasic knowledge of sensors and how different types of sensors work.\nThings To Know\nThis role is based in a manufacturing environment and requires close collaboration with Operations, Engineering, Quality, Program Management, and EHSS teams.\nThis position requires focus on Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost indicators.\nSuccessful completion of a background investigation and drug screen is required as a condition of employment.\nIf the position requires use of a HARMAN or customer-owned vehicle, employment may be contingent upon meeting applicable driving record requirements.\nWhat You Can Expect\nFlexible work environment, allowing for full-time remote work globally for positions that can be performed outside a HARMAN or customer location.\nAccess to employee discounts on world-class HARMAN and Samsung products, including JBL, HARMAN Kardon, AKG, and others.\nExtensive training opportunities through HARMAN University.\nCompetitive wellness benefits.\nTuition reimbursement.\nAccess to the HARMAN campus fitness center and cafeteria, where available.\nAn inclusive and diverse work environment that fosters and encourages professional and personal development.\nHARMAN is proud to be an Equal Opportunity / Affirmative Action employer.
