You will drive architectural decisions regarding identity management (Active Directory/Entra ID), server operating systems, virtualization, automation, and security compliance. This role bridges high-level business strategy with hands-on technical implementation, ensuring that our Microsoft environment is scalable, resilient, and secure.\nHow You’ll Make An Impact\nArchitecture & Design\nDesign end-to-end Windows server and client infrastructure (on-premises, hybrid, and cloud).\nDevelop and maintain the roadmap for Active Directory (AD DS), Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and Certificate Services (PKI).\nArchitect hybrid identity solutions integrating on-prem AD with Azure AD (Entra ID) and Microsoft 365.\nDesign virtualization strategies (Hyper-V, VMware) and storage configurations for Windows workloads.\nPlan high-availability, disaster recovery, and backup solutions for Windows systems.\nImplementation & Standards\nEstablish standards for Windows Server (2019/2022/2025) and Windows 10/11 deployment (imaging, Autopilot, MDM).\nDesign automated provisioning workflows using PowerShell, DSC (Desired State Configuration), or Ansible.\nLead migration projects (e.g., legacy to modern platforms, on-prem to Azure IaaS/PaaS).\nDefine monitoring, patching, and update strategies (Windows Update for Business, WSUS, Azure Update Manager).\nPerform proof of concepts (POC) and proof of architecture (POA) with various hardware and software vendors to pick-up the best solution. \nSecurity & Compliance\nEmbed security best practices (Zero Trust, least privilege, LAPS, Credential Guard).\nDesign RBAC models, tiered administration, and privileged access workstations (PAWs).\nEnsure compliance with industry standards (SOC2, ISO 27001, NIST) through audit-ready Windows configurations.\nCollaborate with security teams on endpoint detection, logging (Sentinel/SIEM), and vulnerability management.\nCollaboration & Leadership\nPartner with network, storage, and security architects to ensure interoperability.\nTranslate business requirements into technical specifications and architecture diagrams.\nMentor system administrators and lead technical review sessions.\nEvaluate emerging Microsoft technologies and provide build vs. buy recommendations.\nWhat Makes You A Strong Fit\n8+ years in systems engineering/administration focused on Microsoft technologies.\nDeep expertise in Active Directory design (multiple domains/forests, sites, replication, schema management).\nStrong knowledge of Windows Server core components (Failover Clustering, File Server, Storage Spaces Direct).\nExperience designing hybrid identities (Entra ID Connect, federation, SSO, MFA, Conditional Access).\nProficiency with PowerShell scripting for automation and configuration management.\nHands-on experience with virtualization (Hyper-V, VMware vSphere) and SAN/NAS storage integration.\nSolid understanding of networking (TCP/IP, DNS, load balancing, firewalls) as it relates to Windows environments.\nBonus Points if You Have\nCertifications: MCSE (Core Infrastructure) , Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or Identity and Access Administrator Associate.\nExperience with Azure IaaS (VMs, Scale Sets, Managed Disks, Azure Files) and Azure ARC.\nFamiliarity with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates).\nKnowledge of Citrix or AVD (Azure Virtual Desktop) architecture.\nExposure to Linux systems (basic administration or interoperability).\nAnalytical problem-solver with systematic thinking.\nExcellent documentation and diagramming abilities (Visio, Lucidchart, Draw.io).\nStrong communication skills - able to explain complex infrastructure to non-technical leaders.\nAbility to lead crisis troubleshooting efforts and root cause analysis.\nAbility to work in a fast-paced environment under high stress with consistency and accuracy.\nThings To Know\nThis role is based in Łódź, Poland and follows a hybrid work model, requiring 3 days per week in our Łódź office.\nWhat You Can Expect\nA hybrid work environment that balances flexibility with in-person collaboration, with most office-based roles onsite three days a week.\nAccess to employee discounts on HARMAN and Samsung products (including JBL, Harman / Kardon, AKG, and others)\nLearning and development opportunities through our award-winning HARMAN University programs\nWellness benefits designed to support your overall well-being\nTuition reimbursement support\nAccess to the HARMAN campus fitness center and cafeteria, where available\nAn inclusive and diverse work environment that supports both your professional and personal development\nHARMAN is proud to be an Equal Opportunity / Affirmative Action employer.
