Following the close of a $200M Series B, valuing the company at $1.4 billion, we are expanding our teams and capabilities to deliver mission-critical systems to allied forces.\nOur work is guided by clear values: building technologies with real-world impact, pursuing excellence in everything we do, setting ambitious goals, and taking on the hardest technical challenges. We operate in a demanding environment where rigor, ownership, and execution are expected.\nAbout the Role\nHarmattan AI is scaling its industrial footprint across France, Morocco, the United States and future production locations. We are looking for a Director Global Logistics to build and lead the logistics function supporting this growth.\nThe role owns the movement of finished products from shipment readiness through customer delivery. This includes international transport, customs, dangerous goods, export-control execution, routing, forwarders and delivery performance.\nIt is a global leadership role with strong operational responsibility and close interfaces with Production, Supply Chain, Quality, Legal, Programme teams and international customers.\nResponsibilities\nThe Director Global Logistics will establish and manage a global logistics system that is compliant, scalable and operationally effective.\nThe role will own customer delivery from release of the finished product through proof of delivery, including transport planning, Incoterms, shipment documentation, customs clearance and delivery visibility. It will also define and manage the global network of freight forwarders, carriers and customs brokers.\nA major part of the role is ensuring that export-control, dangerous-goods and customs requirements are integrated early into the delivery process rather than addressed only when goods are ready to ship. The Director will therefore work closely with Legal, Supply Chain and Production to anticipate licence requirements, routing constraints and transport risks.\nThe role will establish common logistics standards, processes and KPIs across all production locations and deploy the logistics system into new factories and countries as Harmattan AI expands.\nThe Director will also build the team and external partner network required to improve delivery reliability, lead time and logistics cost.\nSupply Chain owns material flow into and through Production. Global Logistics owns the controlled movement of released finished goods to the customer.\nThe role covers:\nCustomer delivery and international transport\n\nCustoms and trade operations\n\nExport-control execution\n\nDangerous-goods logistics\n\nForwarder, carrier and broker management\n\nGlobal routing and logistics network design\n\nShipment compliance and release\n\nLogistics performance and cost management\n\nCandidate Requirements\nExperienced international logistics leader who is comfortable operating in a fast-growing and highly regulated industrial environment.\n\nSignificant experience in international logistics, preferably in defence or another highly regulated industrial environment, together with strong knowledge of customs, import/export processes, international freight, Incoterms and shipment documentation.\n\nExperience with dangerous goods, regulated shipments and licence-dependent export processes is important, as is experience managing freight forwarders, carriers and customs brokers.\n\nStrong operational judgement and ability to make clear decisions under delivery pressure while maintaining compliance. Experience building or scaling logistics processes across several countries or production locations would be a strong advantage.\n\nComfortable working across Production, Supply Chain, Quality, Legal and customer-facing teams and able to build processes that remain practical as the organisation grows.\n\nCombines strong compliance discipline with a pragmatic operational mindset.\n\nAnticipates problems before they affect customer delivery, creates clear ownership and is comfortable building structures where processes are still evolving.\n\nAble to distinguish between what is legally required, what is operationally necessary and what can be simplified, while creating a global logistics organisation that can scale with the company.\n\nWe look forward to hearing how you can help shape the future of autonomous defense systems at Harmattan AI.","description_format":"text","description_chars":4416,"description_truncated":false,"requirements":{"experience_years_min":null,"management_years_min":null,"team_size_min":null,"manages_managers":false,"education":{"level":"bachelor","optional":false},"security_clearance":false,"languages":[]},"benefits":[],"hiring_locations":[],"hiring_excludes":[],"relocation_offered":false,"industries":["Logistics","Military Drones","Defense Manufacturing","Defense AI"],"lifecycle":[{"event":"open","at":"2026-10-07T10:26:55Z"}],"visa":[],"liveness":{"score":63,"band":"ok","label":"Likely open","p_open":1,"p_active":0.632,"p_room":1,"age_days":14,"expected_fill_days":74,"reasons":["conf:2","stale_co","velocity","win:early","comp:brand"],"computed_at":"2026-10-22T06:10:10Z"},"pay":null,"html_url":"https://alion.io/job/harmattan-ai-director-global-logistics","json_url":"https://alion.io/job/harmattan-ai-director-global-logistics.json","meta":{"generated_at":"2026-10-22T18:36:34Z","cache_seconds":300,"methodology":"https://alion.io/methodology","terms":"https://alion.io/terms","contact":"https://alion.io/contact","api":"https://alion.io/developers","about":"Alion is a live layer of people, companies and AI agents: who they are, whether they are real and active right now, what they do and how to work with them, readable by people and by agents and paid per call.","catalog":"https://alion.io/catalog.json","usage":{"tier":"crawler_verified","counted_by":"address","units_charged":1,"used_today":1345,"day_limit":null,"remaining_today":null,"minute_limit":300,"resets_at":"2026-10-23T00:00:00Z"}},"offers":[{"id":"company.slices","title":"One company in depth, by slice","status":"live","price":{"credits":0.02,"usd":0.002,"plus_per_slice":{"credits":0.05,"usd":0.005}},"unit":"per company, plus each slice with data","note":"the employer in depth","call":{"mcp_tool":"get_company","arguments":{"id":8839},"rest":"https://alion.io/mcp/rest/get_company?id=8839"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=company.slices&for=job%2Fharmattan-ai-director-global-logistics"},{"id":"market.stats","title":"A market slice: pay, demand and time to fill","status":"live","price":{"credits":1,"usd":0.1},"unit":"per slice","note":"pay, demand and time to fill for this role and place","call":{"mcp_tool":"market_stats"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=market.stats&for=job%2Fharmattan-ai-director-global-logistics"},{"id":"job.search","title":"Open jobs by role, technology, place, pay and visa","status":"live","price":{"credits":0.02,"usd":0.002},"unit":"per posting in a list","note":"similar open postings","call":{"mcp_tool":"search_jobs"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=job.search&for=job%2Fharmattan-ai-director-global-logistics"},{"id":"company.verify","title":"Is this company real and active right now","status":"pilot","price":null,"unit":"per company","request":{"url":"https://alion.io/catalog/request","method":"POST","body":"{\"offer\": \"company.verify\", \"for\": \"job/harmattan-ai-director-global-logistics\", \"note\": \"what you need it for\"}"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=company.verify&for=job%2Fharmattan-ai-director-global-logistics"}]}
