Learn more at www.harmonicinc.com.\nRole Description\nWe are looking for a Network Design and Integration Engineer. You will report to Director, Broadband System Integration. You will be required to work on accounts in Asia-PAC time-zone and communicate with team members in North America and/or Europe time zones.\nLocation\nThis position is 60 to 70% remote from anywhere in APAC. It will be occasional travel within APAC region.\nWhat you will be doing:\nSupport activities for cOSTM client lab integration, testing, qualifications, and field trials.\n\nDesign IP networking ecosystem with Harmonic cOSTM platform to support Customer Use Cases.\n\nImplement cOSTM ecosystem design provided by Design Engineer of System Integration team.\n\nCommunicate with marketing, engineering, and sales teams about client expectations.\n\nResponsible for testing new software and hardware; report and track defects to engineering.\n\nExecute, and lead client field trials.\n\nTrain clients on the operation and troubleshooting of the cOSTM system.\n\nTrain field service team on the operations and troubleshooting of cOSTM system and any new features that are supported.\n\nAssist with deployments and technical support as needed.\n\nAssist with supporting customers in conjunction with Harmonic’s 24/7 Technical Assistance Centre (TAC), as required.\n\nInvestigate, diagnose and resolve Customer issues on-site in a timely manner and if needed escalate problems for assistance.\n\nResolving equipment performance related issues within Harmonic equipment and in conjunction with Harmonic application partners, utilizing Harmonic’s technical issue logging/escalation systems as appropriate.\n\nDevelop detailed customer installation and system integration plans, ensuring seamless implementation of solutions.\n\nAct as a key technical liaison on customer projects, ensuring that technical requirements are met and expectations are aligned.\n\nWhat you should have:\nBachelor’s in computer science, Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications or equivalent;\n\n4+ years direct experience in networking systems hardware and software design and troubleshooting.\n\nStrong expertise in IP network switching and routing protocols, TCP/IP stack is a “must”.\n\nExperience in configuration and administration of Linux-based servers is a “must”.\n\nAbility to understand technical documentation including Software/Hardware Configuration Guides, schematics, work instructions, test procedures, etc.\n\nProblem solving, analytical and communications skills.\n\nKnowledge of DOCSIS, CMTS configuration and troubleshooting is a “must”.\n\nKnowledge of FTTX is a plus.\n\nExperience in pre-sales type technical support, including product demonstrations and feasibility analysis, is highly preferred.\n\nAbility to develop and present technical solutions to customers and internal teams.\n\nTravel\nYou are required to travel up to 40% to customers sites (within APAC region) and Corporate Office for training.\nLanguage\nFluent in written and conversational English\nDiversity, Equality, and & Inclusion at Harmonic Inc\nAt Harmonic, we believe that building and nurturing a global team with diverse backgrounds and voices is critical to our success.
