Video is becoming the centerpiece of how we show up in the market, and this role is the person who makes that happen.
About the Role
We're looking for a Videographer to own video at Harmonic, end to end. Reporting to the Director of Brand, you'll shoot, edit, and produce content across the full spectrum: customer case studies, product animations, social media and digital content, event coverage, company offsites, employee spotlights, and short-form digestible content that makes complex security topics land.
This is not just a shooting-and-editing role. We expect you to be a creative force: to come up with the ideas, own the narrative behind every piece, and drive execution from concept to publish. You'll decide what stories are worth telling, how to tell them, and where they should live - then make them. You'll also lean heavily on AI tooling to streamline production and multiply your output, from pre-production and scripting through editing, versioning, and repurposing.
What You'll Do
Own video at Harmonic: strategy, creative ideas, narrative, production, and delivery
Shoot and edit customer case study videos that make our champions look great and win deals
Produce product animations and demo-style videos that make the platform easy to understand
Create a steady drumbeat of short-form social content optimized for digital, social media marketing channels and beyond
Turn complex AI security topics into digestible, engaging video content
Capture and produce content from events, company offsites, and employee spotlights that bring Harmonic's culture to life
Develop the concepts and storylines yourself - pitch ideas, write scripts and shot lists, and drive them through to finished work
Build repeatable production workflows, leveraging AI tools across scripting, editing, motion, versioning, and localization to move faster without sacrificing quality
Manage the video pipeline end to end: equipment, filming logistics, asset library, and publishing
Partner closely with the Director of Brand and teams across marketing, sales, product, and people to spot stories worth telling
What You Bring
3+ years of professional experience shooting and editing video, with a portfolio or reel that shows range: interviews / talking heads, short-form social, motion graphics or basic animation, and event coverage
Strong hands-on craft across the full production stack: camera operation, lighting, audio, editing (e.g. Premiere Pro / DaVinci Resolve / Final Cut), and motion design (e.g. After Effects)
Proven ability to own a project from idea to published asset - concept, narrative, script, shoot, edit, delivery
A storyteller's instinct: you know how to find the human angle, structure a narrative, and hold attention in the first three seconds
Fluency with (or hunger to master) AI video and production tools to accelerate every stage of the workflow
Comfort working solo and moving fast: you don't need a big crew or a big brief to produce great work
Willingness to travel for customer shoots, events, and company offsites
