Learn more at www.harmonicinc.com.\nRole Description:\nWe are seeking a Senior QA Engineer to join our Broadband R&D organization.\nIn this role, you will be responsible for integrating and end-to-end testing complex embedded systems that involve both hardware and software components. The position requires strong PON domain expertise, hands-on debugging skills, and the ability to execute and enhance automated test frameworks.\nLocation:\nHybrid role - working 3-4 days a week from our office in Bangalore.\nWhat you will be doing:\nExecute and maintain the build acceptance test suite used to qualify products for customer deployments\n\nDiagnose and resolve complex interoperability issues between ONUs and Harmonic’s vOLT through in-depth analysis of logs, traces, and source code\n\nAnalyze requirements for automated testing and maintain CI test suites by integrating new tests (written in Python) developed by other teams, while optimizing structure and coverage\n\nCollaborate closely with R&D Scrum teams to investigate complex issues, providing detailed technical analysis and reproducible scenarios\n\nUtilize automation and debugging tools to improve test coverage, execution efficiency, and root-cause analysis\n\nWhat you will need to succeed:\nBE/B.Tech/M.E/M.Tech degree in CS/EC/IT or equivalent experience\n\n5+ years of hands-on experience in networking systems QA, integration, or R&D\n\nProven experience in writing clear test plans, test cases, and bug reports, as well as executing test scenarios\n\nStrong knowledge of PON architecture, protocols, and specifications, including OLT/ONU interoperability\n\nDeep understanding of networking protocols, including IEEE 802.1Q/ad bridging and/or IPv4/IPv6 unicast and multicast routing\n\nExperience working in Agile/Scrum environments\n\nProficiency with Linux systems and network debugging tools (e.g., Wireshark, tcpdump)\n\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to perform deep root-cause analysis\n\nExcellent collaboration and communication skills in English.
