You will design robust QA strategies, build CI/CD-native test suites, drive performance/load testing, and turn system requirements into executable, measurable test plans.\n\nWhat will you do:\n\nETL/Data Quality Automation:\n\n- Design and automate tests for ingestion, transformation, and loading (schema checks, constraints, null/dup checks, reconciliation, row/column-level validation, business rule assertions).\n\n- Implement data contract and data lineage test coverage; ensure CDC/merge logic and dedup rules are verified.\n\n- Add data checks to orchestration (e.g., Airflow/Prefect/Cloud Composer) and block bad data from promotion.\n\nAPI & Frontend Test Automation:\n\n- Build end-to-end, integration, contract, and regression suites for REST/GraphQL services.\n\n- Create UI automation for critical user journeys; stabilize flaky tests with good wait/retry design.\n\nPerformance/Load Testing:\n\n- Establish load, stress, soak, and breakpoint tests for APIs and web apps; define SLAs/SLOs and capacity baselines.\n\n- Automate performance tests in CI and publish trend dashboards.\n\nCI/CD & Quality Gates:\n\n- Integrate tests into CI/CD (pre-merge, nightly, release) with quality gates, artifacting, and environment provisioning.\n\n- Build disposable test environments using containers and IaC; seed synthetic datasets for deterministic runs.\n\nTest Strategy & Documentation:\n\n- Turn PRDs/BRDs into detailed test plans, risk matrices, and traceability matrices.\n\n- Champion shift-left, code reviews for testability, and quality as code.\n\nMonitoring & Incident Support:\n\n- Instrument quality KPIs; collaborate on root-cause analysis; prevent regressions with guardrail tests.\n\nMust-have skills:\n\n- ETL/Data QA: Strong experience validating data pipelines/warehouses (e.g. BigQuery/Snowflake/Redshift/PostgreSQL), reconciliation at scale, partitioning/windowing awareness, and SQL proficiency.\n\n- Automation: Hands-on with Python/TypeScript/Java for test frameworks; solid patterns (fixtures, page objects, data builders).\n\n- API Testing: Postman/Newman, REST Assured, Pact or equivalent for contract testing.\n\n- UI Testing: Playwright or Cypress (preferred) for stable, parallelizable suites.\n\n- Performance Testing: k6 / JMeter / Locust; interpreting p95/p99, throughput, saturation; correlation with APM metrics.\n\n- CI/CD: GitHub Actions / GitLab CI / Jenkins; branching, artifacts, caching, matrix builds; gating policies.\n\n- Data Testing Frameworks: Great Expectations / Soda Core / dbt tests; schema diffs, expectations as code.\n\n- Cloud & Containers: Docker; working knowledge of Kubernetes-based ephemeral test envs.\n\n- Observability: Using Prometheus/Grafana/New Relic/Datadog to tie test results to runtime telemetry.\n\nNice-to-have:\n\n- Orchestrators (Airflow/Prefect), CDC tools (Debezium), ELT (Airbyte/Fivetran), transformation (dbt/Spark/Dataflow).\n\n- IaC (Terraform), secrets management, feature flags.\n\n- Security testing exposure (OWASP ZAP, SAST/DAST), basic vuln triage.\n\n- Experience with data privacy and compliance test considerations.\n\n- Experience building synthetic data generators and golden datasets.\n\nTools you might use here:\n\n- Data/ETL: SQL, dbt, Great Expectations/Soda, Airflow/Prefect\n\n- API/UI: Playwright/Cypress, Postman/Newman, REST Assured, Pact\n\n- Performance: k6, JMeter, Locust\n\n- CI/CD: GitHub Actions/GitLab CI/Jenkins, Docker, Terraform\n\n- Analytics/Stores: BigQuery/Snowflake/Redshift/PostgreSQL\n\n- Observability: Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog/New Relic\n\nQualifications:\n\n- Bachelors in CS/IT or equivalent experience.\n\n- 6+ years in QA with at least 3 years in data/ETL test automation and 2+ years in performance testing.\n\n- Proven experience integrating tests into CI/CD and scaling suites for speed and reliability.\n\n- Excellent communication;
