Reporting to the Pre-Construction Manager, you will play a key role in turning enquiries into winning proposals across fire doors, firestopping, compartmentation, and wider building fabric works.\nThis is a hands-on commercial role at the heart of a fast-moving pre-construction operation. If you are numerate, organised, and want to build a career in pre-construction at one of London’s fastest-growing fire safety specialists - read on.\nKey Responsibilities\nSupport the Pre-Construction Manager in the preparation of tenders, quotations, and pricing submissions for building fabric and passive fire protection works across the South West portfolio.\nCarry out take-offs and material quantification from drawings, specifications, and survey information, ensuring accuracy at every stage. \nAssist in the preparation of method statements, programmes, and supporting documentation for tender submissions. \nLiaise with supply chain, subcontractors, and internal teams to gather pricing and technical information required to complete bids. \nMaintain and update the pre-construction tracker, ensuring all live enquiries, deadlines, and submission statuses are accurately recorded. \nSupport site surveys and pre-construction visits, building your understanding of scope and specification requirements on the ground. \nAssist with the handover of won projects to the delivery team, ensuring all pre construction information is transferred accurately. \nDevelop your knowledge of passive fire protection systems, fire doors, firestopping, and the compliance framework that underpins our work. \nContribute to continuous improvement of the pre-construction process - including templates, pricing tools, and submission quality. \nSkills, Knowledge & Expertise\nAn A-player mindset - high standards, extreme ownership and the drive to do things properly, the first time. \nExperience in a pre-construction, estimating, quantity surveying, or commercial support role within building fabric, passive fire, construction, or a closely related discipline. \nAbility to carry out accurate take-offs and quantification from drawings and specifications. \nStrong numerical and analytical skills - comfortable working with pricing data, cost summaries, and tender documents. \nHighly organised with strong attention to detail - able to manage multiple live bids simultaneously and meet submission deadlines without dropping the ball. \nGood communication skills - able to liaise professionally with clients, supply chain, and internal colleagues. \nProficient in Microsoft 365 - particularly Excel, Outlook, and Word. \nYeovil office-based or within commutable distance of the South West, and available full time. \nFull UK driving licence. \nJob Benefits\nThis is a chance to build a pre-construction career at one of the UK’s fastest-growing fire safety specialists - working on a growing South West pipeline across fire doors, firestopping, and passive fire works, supported by an experienced Pre-Construction Manager, and developing the commercial and technical skills that will take your career forward.
