Computer are seeking an experiencedCompliance & Governance Manager on a full-time, permanent, remote basis in the UK.\nThe Compliance and Governance Manager role is a key component of the Harris UK Compliance function, providing governance, compliance, assurance, and regulatory support across Harris UK Business Units.\nKey Objectives\nPromote and facilitate legal, regulatory, and contractual compliance across Harris UK Business Units.\n\nDevelop and maintain a consistent approach to governance, risk management, compliance, and assurance activities across the UK portfolio.\n\nSupport the implementation and continual improvement of management systems, policies, and controls.\n\nReduce duplication of effort through the alignment of processes, systems, and compliance activities where appropriate.\n\nSupport Business Units in achieving and maintaining required certifications, accreditations, and regulatory obligations.\n\nConduct independent internal audits and assurance reviews to demonstrate compliance and readiness for external audits.\n\nDrive a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and risk awareness.\n\nProvide expert guidance on governance, privacy, information security, AI governance, quality management, and regulatory compliance.\n\nKey Responsibilities\nGovernance and Compliance\nDevelop, implement, and maintain governance frameworks, policies, standards, and procedures across Harris UK Business Units.\n\nMonitor compliance with applicable legislation, regulations, contractual commitments, and internal policies.\n\nProvide guidance and support on compliance-related matters to Business Unit leadership teams.\n\nIdentify compliance risks and support the development of mitigation actions and improvement plans.\n\nEnsure governance processes remain effective, proportionate, and aligned with corporate objectives.\n\nInformation Security, Privacy and Risk Management\nSupport compliance with UK GDPR and wider privacy obligations.\n\nAssist Business Units in implementing and maintaining appropriate information security controls.\n\nFacilitate risk assessments and support ongoing risk management activities.\n\nSupport incident management, corrective actions, and compliance investigations where required.\n\nContribute to supplier assurance and third-party risk management activities.\n\nManagement Systems and Certification\nSupport the operation and continual improvement of certified management systems.\n\nCoordinate and support external certification audits and surveillance activities.\n\nMaintain governance documentation, registers, audit records, and compliance evidence.\n\nEnsure Business Units remain compliant with applicable industry standards and frameworks.\n\nInternal Audit and Assurance\nDevelop and deliver internal audit programmes across Harris UK Business Units.\n\nConduct audits against statutory, regulatory, contractual, and certification requirements.\n\nProduce audit reports, findings, observations, and recommendations.\n\nMonitor corrective actions through to completion.\n\nProvide assurance reporting to senior management and key stakeholders.\n\nStakeholder Engagement\nWork collaboratively with operational, technical, legal, HR, and leadership teams.\n\nProvide compliance advice during acquisitions, business integrations, new product introductions, and strategic initiatives.\n\nLiaise with customers, auditors, regulators, certification bodies, and external stakeholders as required.\n\nDeliver requirements\n\nPhysical and Personnel Security\n\nKnowledge, Skills and Experience\nEssential\nProven experience in a compliance, governance, risk, information security, privacy, quality, or regulatory role.\n\nStrong understanding of governance frameworks and management systems.\n\nExperience conducting internal audits and managing compliance programmes.\n\nKnowledge of UK GDPR and broader regulatory compliance obligations.\n\nExperience supporting ISO management systems, particularly ISO 27001 and/or ISO 9001.\n\nExperience supporting ISO/IEC 42001, NHS DSPT, DCB0129, DCB0160, UKCA, or MHRA compliance.\n\nExperience within SaaS, software, healthcare technology, or regulated technology environments.\n\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\n\nStrong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving abilities.\n\nAbility to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.\n\nExperience developing and maintaining policies, procedures, and governance documentation.\n\nAbility to manage multiple priorities and deliver outcomes independently.\n\nDesirable\nKnowledge of AI governance and emerging regulatory frameworks.\n\nExperience supporting mergers, acquisitions, or multi-business group environments.\n\nProfessional certifications in compliance, governance, auditing, information security, privacy, risk management, or quality management.\n\nSuccess Measures\nMaintain and improve compliance maturity across Harris UK Business Units.\n\nDeliver a risk-based internal audit programme and assurance framework.\n\nSupport successful certification and regulatory outcomes.\n\nDrive standardisation and best practice across the UK portfolio.\n\nEnhance stakeholder confidence through effective governance, reporting, and
