You will lead a team of finance professionals, oversee the month, quarter, and year-end close process while working closely with the operational senior leadership teams as their trusted business advisor.\nThis position will be remote; however, Harris has offices across North America should a candidate be looking to work from an office either permanently or on a\npart-time basis.\nWHAT WILL YOUR NEW ROLE BE\nEnsuring the accuracy, completeness, and timely completion of monthly financial reporting\nTechnical accounting analysis under International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)\nAnalyzing, summarizing and presenting financial results to senior leadership\nCo-ordinate and provide analyses that support the decision-making of senior leadership\nManage, coach and mentor a team of finance professionals including CPAs and CPA candidates\nReview multiple-element software contracts to ensure proper revenue recognition under IFRS 15 guidelines, including regular review of supporting schedules\nCo-ordinate audit requests and respond to queries during quarterly reviews and the interim and year-end audit\nAssist the M&A team with finance due diligence items and oversee the financial integration of new acquisitions, including intangible valuations and acquisition accounting entries\nWHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR\n5+ years of work experience in an accounting or finance environment\nCPA (or equivalent) designation\nExperience building and managing relationships with direct reports and internal stakeholders\nWHAT WILL MAKE YOU STAND OUT\nFamiliarity with IFRS reporting framework \nProgressive experience working at an accounting firm or software company\nProject accounting experience\nWHAT WE OFFER\nThree weeks' vacation and five personal days\nComprehensive Medical, Dental and Vision coverage from your first day of employment\nFinancial and professional development support for CPA candidates and members\nEmployee stock ownership and RRSP matching programs\nLifestyle rewards program\nFlexible work options\nPerformance driven organization with many opportunities for advancement\nAnd more!\nCOMPENSATION DETAILS\nThe potential salary range for this role is $87,500 to $105,000 per year, with eligibility for bonus or merit program.
