A new age in healthcare technology has just begun.\nPosition Summary\nAs an Expert Site Reliability Engineer at Altera, you will be a pivotal technical leader, providing strategic guidance and deep technical expertise to Hosted clients. This role is crucial for ensuring the successful implementation and ongoing operations of complex projects, serving as the primary technical liaison between hosting, development, and client teams. An ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in systems engineering, a strong architectural mindset, and a passion for mentoring, driving quality, and delivering exceptional client satisfaction within a dynamic healthcare IT environment.\nKey Responsibilities\nProvide continuous technical guidance and support to clients, ensuring their ongoing success.\nCollaborate closely with internal technical teams to facilitate the successful implementation and integration of proposed solutions.\nPartner with business stakeholders and Technical Account Managers (TAMs) to translate business requirements into robust, industry-standard, and Altera-aligned solutions.\nDevelop and document comprehensive technical architectures for clients, encompassing infrastructure, data flow, integration points, domain trust, security, and performance.\nDesign and document the integration of diverse systems, components, and third-party services to create detailed application environments.\nCreate clear architectural diagrams and documentation to effectively communicate designs to the account team.\nIdentify potential technical risks and proactively develop and implement mitigation strategies.\nAddress challenges related to project deliverables and client environments, ensuring smooth execution.\nConduct weekly reviews of control systems for assigned clients and take appropriate actions to mitigate issues.\nContribute to the development and refinement of internal processes and best practices within the SRE team.\nMaintain high levels of quality and client satisfaction for assigned accounts.\nCollaborate with the Project Management Organization (PMO) for resource allocation and provide technical input during project status meetings, resolving technical roadblocks.\nOversee architecture and technical delivery to enhance the hosting experience for clients.\nWork in coordination with, or under the mentorship of, a Site Reliability Architect or Principal Site Reliability Engineer, while also providing mentorship, education, and leadership to other SREs.\nMaintain comprehensive technical documentation for clients, including architecture design documents, configuration guides, and release notes.\nRole Requirements\nTotal Years of Experience: 7+ years of overall work experience.\nRelevant Experience: 2-3 years of expert-level experience providing systems engineering in an assigned product.\n Education: Bachelor's Degree (Preferred).\nPreferred Experience: 7+ years of experience with healthcare products in a Support, Development, or Consultancy environment.\nMandatory Skills\nDeep expertise in systems engineering and technical architecture.\nProficiency in designing and documenting complex system integrations, data flows, and infrastructure components.\nStrong understanding of security considerations and performance requirements in hosted environments.\nProven ability to identify and mitigate technical risks.\nExperience with control systems and proactive issue resolution.\nExcellent technical documentation skills (architecture design documents, configuration guides).\nStrong problem-solving and analytical capabilities.\nAbility to provide technical guidance and support to clients and internal teams.\nLeadership & Soft Skills (Mastered/Advanced Proficiency):\nExceptional Client Service (internal and external)\nStrong Quality Focus\nResults-Oriented mindset\nHigh level of Accountability\nExcellent Communication (verbal and written)\nEffective Collaboration across teams and organizational boundaries\nMentorship and leadership capabilities for other SREs.\nWorking Arrangements: May require after-hours, on-call support, and/or holidays.
