You will work closely with a team that brings deep expertise in our legacy product lines to make the transformation real.\nResponsibilities & Duties:\n- Help lead and manage the R&D product roadmap, ensuring alignment with company goals and long-term strategies.\n- Lead the discovery and exploration of emerging technologies and trends to identify new product opportunities.\n- Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization.\nRequirements:\n- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Product Management, a related field, or relevant experience.\n- 6+ years of experience in product management, with a focus on software products.\n- Technical background and understanding of software development processes.\n- Experience managing the product lifecycle from concept to launch.\nWhat your impact will be:\nModernization strategy & roadmap\nHelp lead the strategy and execution to consolidate Aurora's product lines into one modern, web-based flagship platform.\nPartner with leadership to define where modernization goes, why, and in what order, then turn that direction into an executable plan.\n\nPartnering with legacy product expertise\nPartner with tenured Product Managers and Engineers, drawing on their deep industry, customer, and legacy-product knowledge as a foundational input to the modernization strategy.\nBring a modern-product lens, championing what future customers will expect from a web-based experience as the platform evolves.\n\nRoadmap execution & delivery alignment\nDrive roadmap execution by turning the long-term vision into a practical, sequenced roadmap and moving quickly from planning to delivery.\nShape product decisions around web-first design, intuitive workflows, and evolving customer expectations.\n\nCustomer validation & design-partner strategy\nIdentify and cultivate design-partner relationships with municipalities to co-develop and validate modernization assumptions before broad rollout.\nLower adoption risk by validating with real customers early instead of relying on a high-risk “big reveal” launch.\n\nAI-enabled product opportunities\nIdentify where AI can create meaningful functional efficiencies inside the product, from simplifying workflows to reducing manual effort and improving decision support.\nShape AI-enabled product capabilities that make Aurora's modern platform smarter, more efficient, and more valuable for customers over time.\n\nWhat we are looking for:\nStrategic, creative thinker who can shape product strategy while managing roadmap priorities, trade-offs, and execution details.\nDecisive, driven operator comfortable challenging the status quo and moving quickly through ambiguity.\nSkilled at building trust across experienced teams and translating deep institutional knowledge into a shared, forward-looking product vision.\nAI-enabled mindset and enthusiasm for using AI to accelerate product thinking, planning, and execution.\nSolid accounting fundamentals.\n6+ years of product management or strategy experience, ideally with platform modernization or legacy migration.\nBachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent experience.\n\nWhat would make you stand out:\nMunicipal industry experience.\nFund accounting knowledge.\nFamiliarity with GASB (Governmental Accounting Standards Board) principles.\nDirect experience modernizing a legacy product into a modern, web-based platform.\nSalary range: $85,000 -
