The successful candidate is a technical leader responsible for the architecture of MEDHOST’s applications and products. The Architect also leads the team’s adoption of AI-driven development, applying the AI-Driven Development Life Cycle (AI-DLC), large language models (LLMs), and AI coding agents to accelerate delivery while maintaining architectural quality and human oversight.\nThe Architect partners with product management, application management, operations, fellow architects, and development team leads in strategic, tactical, and design planning.\nWhat your impact will be:\nSet the architectural vision and milestones for teams building highly scalable Java and web-based applications.\nLead the adoption of AI-driven development practices, including the AI-Driven Development Life Cycle (AI-DLC), and define how AI coding agents such as Claude Code are used across the inception, construction, and operational phases.\nEstablish standards for reviewing, testing, and validating AI-generated code and design artifacts to ensure quality, security, and maintainability.\nEvaluate and architect solutions that integrate large language models (LLMs) into MEDHOST products and internal workflows, with appropriate attention to security, privacy, and regulatory requirements.\nEmploy the existing architectural stack and collaborate with the rest of the enterprise to evolve it.\nReview and approve technical designs to ensure the architectural integrity of the system, and help teams deliver according to development standards.\nParticipate in the complete software development lifecycle within an Agile process, from requirements through testing and deployment.\nPlan for performance requirements, set performance targets, and troubleshoot production bottlenecks, including JVM, application server, and database performance.\nDevelop and evolve development practices (e.g., unit test strategies, code review, build, and deployment).\nEvaluate new technologies and develop proofs of concept as needed, while staying current with technology and architecture trends.\nMeet with clients and internal users to determine long-term system needs and requirements that support the company’s business objectives and external client interface requirements.\nProvide technical support and assist clients with technical implementation requirements and plans.\nCoach and mentor team members (regardless of role: developer, tester, or product manager) on the appropriate use of technology to address customer and business needs.\nMaintain the effectiveness and implementation of the MEDHOST Quality Management System and meet applicable regulatory requirements as needed.\nResponsible for QMS procedures listed in QMS Procedure Crosswalk found in QMS Manual as applicable.\nOther duties as required to support and meet the needs of the organization.\nWhat we look for:\nMaster’s Degree in Computer Science or an Engineering field.\n4 years of development experience;
