If you're looking for a place where you can make a difference and grow with the business, we’d love to hear from you.\nThis position will form an integral part of our engineering team and the future growth of our national business.\nTHE ROLE\nAs a Senior Structural Engineer based in our Darwin office, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality engineering solutions across a diverse range of projects. Working as part of a collaborative national team, you will provide technical leadership, build strong client relationships and contribute to the continued growth and success of our business.\nKey responsibilities include:\nDelivering structural engineering design and consulting services across a range of building and infrastructure projects\nLeading the design and documentation of steel, reinforced concrete, masonry and timber structures\nUndertaking site inspections, structural assessments, investigations and technical reporting\nProviding technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to graduate and developing engineers\nCollaborating with multidisciplinary teams to achieve successful project outcomes and high-quality deliverables\nBuilding and maintaining strong relationships with clients, stakeholders and project partners\nIdentifying opportunities to support business development\nContributing to technical excellence, innovation and continuous improvement initiatives across the structural engineering team\nParticipating in peer reviews and quality assurance processes to maintain high engineering standards\nSupporting knowledge sharing, capability development and a positive team culture across the broader business\nMaintaining a commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with industry trends, standards and best practice\nOUR IDEAL CANDIDATE\nTo be successful in this role, you will bring:\nExtensive experience in structural engineering design and project delivery - ideally with 10+ years experience within an Australian consulting or local government environment\nChartered or Registered Professional Engineer status, with the ability to certify structural engineering designs in accordance with relevant legislation and industry requirements\nDemonstrated experience delivering structural solutions across buildings, infrastructure, retaining structures, foundations, and associated systems\nStrong working knowledge of Australian Standards, the National Construction Code (NCC) and relevant local authority requirements\nProven ability to prepare and review structural designs, calculations, specifications, reports, drawings, cost estimates and construction documentation with a high degree of technical accuracy\nAdvanced capability in structural analysis, design and documentation software, such as SPACE GASS\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders\nExperience undertaking site inspections, structural assessments, construction-phase services, testing verification and quality assurance activities\nStrong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to effectively manage competing priorities and deliver quality outcomes\nDemonstrated ability to work independently while contributing positively within multidisciplinary project teams\nWell-developed stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills, with experience collaborating with clients, architects, contractors, government authorities and other engineering disciplines\nA proactive, solutions-focused mindset, supported by sound engineering judgement, commercial awareness and a commitment to continuous improvement\nThe following qualifications, skills and experience will be highly regarded:\nExperience delivering projects across a variety of sectors, including commercial, residential, industrial, infrastructure, education, health, Defence or government projects\nExperience in project leadership, client management, and mentoring developing engineers\nThe ability and willingness to undertake site travel, including regional and remote locations where required\nWHY OUR TEAM LOVES WORKING HERE\nStrong team spirit and supportive culture\nFamily-friendly approach and flexibility options\nProfit sharing\nPaid company-wide days off\nInterstate \"office exchange\" opportunities\nPaid volunteer leave\nAt Harris Kmon Solutions, we believe solving problems is our calling and thattechnical does not need to mean transactional.
