This role provides hands-on leadership within the Accounting team, playing a central part in month-end close, and is responsible for developing the people who report to them as Harvest continues to scale.\nOur approach to servicing our employees is grounded in our values. If you are applying but do not currently reside in this market, please note that relocation will not be covered by Harvest Group.\nResponsibilities\nOwn accounting for the Media and Digital Commerce business lines, including billing accuracy, revenue recognition, and reconciliations specific to those lines\nServe as the accounting business partner to Media and Digital Commerce leadership, providing visibility into financial performance and answering accounting-related questions as they arise\nManage, coach, and develop direct reports, building their technical skills and ownership over time\nManage the high-volume vendor billing driven by the Media business, ensuring accuracy and timeliness through peak volume periods\nLead month-end close activities across Media, Digital Commerce, and other workstreams, including reconciliations, account reviews, and judgmental items such as accruals, reserves, and revenue recognition treatment\nPartner with Finance Operations on systems and vendor issues while owning the accounting process and reconciliation outcomes on the accounting side\nMaintain and improve the accounting processes, systems, and controls that allow us to scale, including documentation of policies and procedures\nSupport technical accounting research and documentation as needed\nLead or support projects outside the month-end cycle, such as process redesign, system implementations, and integrations to improve or transform how we operate as Harvest scales\n Requirements\n5-8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including demonstrated ownership of technical accounting judgment and reconciliation investigation, not just execution\nCPA or active CPA candidacy strongly preferred\nExperience in public accounting (audit or technical accounting advisory) a significant plus\nTrack record of resolving ambiguous or non-straightforward accounting issues independently, with sound judgment\nStrong understanding of GAAP and its practical application in a fast-moving, multi-entity environment\nAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel\nEffective communicator who can explain technical accounting issues clearly to both accounting and non-accounting stakeholders\nDemonstrated ability, or clear readiness, to mentor and develop less experienced accountants\n Preferred\nExperience in a private equity-backed, multi-entity, or acquisitive environment\nExperience with NetSuite, Oracle Cloud, or similar systems\nPrior experience in a media, digital commerce, or agency billing context\nDemonstrated interest in taking on increasing scope and leadership over time\nOur heart at Harvest is to provide and maintain a work environment that fosters diversity, inclusivity, authenticity, mutual respect, professionalism, and growth.
