Building on the foundational responsibilities of the Software Engineer I role, the Software Engineer II is expected to take greater ownership of complex projects, contribute to architectural decisions, mentor junior developers, and ensure code quality across the team.\nThis is a hybrid in-office/remote role to support our Sousse-based team. Our office policy allows teammates to work remote 3 days/week, with an expectation of 2 days/week in-office.\nCVs must be submitted in English to be considered.\nResponsibilities:\n- Contribute to the development of new and existing software applications to support company goals.\n- Contribute to architectural discussions and technical design decisions, ensuring scalability and sustainability.\n- Write clean, efficient, and testable code following Test Driven Development (TDD) practices.\n- Mentor and support more junior developers through code reviews and pairing.\n- Actively engage in Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives. \n- Demonstrate troubleshooting and debugging skills, resolving complex technical challenges.\n- Collaborate cross-functionally with global teammates to align development with business priorities. \n- Ensure best practices in version control, release cycle management, and documentation.\n- Take initiative in improving development processes, tools, and team efficiency.\n- Represent the development team with professionalism and clear communication in end-user interactions. \n- Apply an understanding of the retail marketplace to solutions that directly support client and internal needs.\nRequirements:\n- Fluency in written and spoken English\n- License, Engineering degree, or Master’s in computer science or related field \n- 3+ years of professional experience designing and implementing software to solve business problems\n- Proficiency in C#, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS\n- Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and software design patterns\n- Demonstrated experience with Agile/Scrum development\n- Proven ability to collaborate effectively and communicate technical concepts clearly\nPreferred:\n- Experience with RESTful service architecture and web application patterns\n- Experience with cloud-based architectures, preferably Microsoft Azure\n- Proficiency with GitHub, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices\n- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and containerized application development\n- Experience with Entity Framework, serverless functions, and microservices\n- Test/Behavior Driven Development experience\n- Experience designing and shipping AI-enabled features that integrate LLM APIs (e.g. OpenAI and Anthropic) and reference both structured and unstructured data\nOur heart at Harvest is to provide and maintain a work environment that fosters diversity, inclusivity, authenticity, mutual respect, professionalism, and growth.
