In this role you will drive high-leverage security initiatives that raise the bar for the entire company - balancing hands-on technical work with cross-functional leadership and mentorship. The problems we are solving today are often unsolved in the industry - making this an incredible career and personal growth opportunity.\nWhat You’ll Do\nDefine and own the product security roadmap\n\nEstablish risk based prioritization for product security features, balancing business velocity with customer trust.\n\nPartner with security leadership to drive organization maturity.\n\nEstablish secure design principles for every stage of development, directly supporting Engineering, Product and Design teams.\n\nRaise the security bar across Harvey through scalable code and design reviews.\n\nInnovate new ways to Threat Model and surface security vulnerabilities at scale.\n\nEstablish and evolve the security posture across Engineering by setting standards that scale with the company\n\nArchitect secure-by-default tools and libraries to make the secure path the only path for developers at Harvey.\n\nDrive incident triage and translate vulnerability findings into end to end solutions.\n\nDirectly mentor and lead junior engineers to up-level the Security organization.\n\nWhat You Have\n8+ years of experience in product security, application security and/or security-focused software engineering.\n\nTrack record of identifying and remediating software vulnerabilities through CVEs, bug bounty awards or published research.\n\nExperience independently delivering high-quality, production software end to end.\n\nExperience leading complex cross-functional security initiatives.\n\nAbility to handle prioritization and tradeoff discussions with senior leadership.\n\nExcellent communication and collaboration skills, particularly when translating security risks into business terms for non-security stakeholders.\n\nExcel at measuring and communicating security metrics and business risk reduction as it relates to product security investments.\n\nExperience mentoring both junior and senior engineers across engineering.\n\nProactive approach to solving complex security challenges.\n\nPositive attitude and willingness to learn.\n\nNice to Have\nExperience building security programs or practices at hyper-growth startups\n\nBackground with cloud environments (Azure, GCP, AWS) and cloud-native security patterns\n\nExperience with AI/ML systems and emerging security considerations for LLM-based applications\n\nCompensation\n$220,000 - $330,000\nDepending on your location, an Applicant Privacy Notice may apply to you.
