This is your chance to shape legendary play that lasts a lifetime.\nWe are looking for an energetic Legal Extern who is passionate about gaming to join our Legal team in supporting Wizards’ tabletop and digital games!\nThis position is open to current law students who are eligible to receive academic credit for the externship and are interested in pursuing a career in the games industry. The externship is a part-time hybrid position (up to 10 hours per week) during the school year.\nWhat You'll Do:\nWork with a team of attorneys and legal professionals to navigate the ever evolving world of gaming.\nConduct legal research, and document drafting on a broad array of legal matters and projects, which could include areas of antitrust, advertising, data protection and privacy, regulatory compliance, intellectual property, licensing, rights of publicity, business, gaming, and entertainment. Undertake projects related to these areas.\nCollaborate with business teams and apply legal principles, analysis, and drafting skills to support internal partners regarding complex legal issues in the digital entertainment space.\nLearn, utilize, and further develop legal operations and process management techniques, technologies, and practices, including with respect to document structure, drafting standards, contract lifecycle management, and legal information technology.\nWhat You'll Bring:\nAvailable to work in-person at our Renton, WA office location for the entire duration of the externship.\nA passion for learning, quality and exploring the games industry.\nPrior class work in subjects of intellectual property, entertainment law, commercial transactions or business law preferred.\nPrior work experience in legal environment or industry preferred.\nStrong communication, analytical, organizational and interpersonal skills required.\nSelf-starter who is results-oriented and exhibits responsibility, creativity, and intellectual curiosity.\nThe ability to quickly adapt to an ever-changing environment.\nA willingness to roll up your sleeves and open to stretching outside of your comfort zone.\nExcellent attention to detail and ability to prioritize workload.\nInterested candidates must submit the following:\nCover letter, Resume, Law school transcripts, and writing sample.\nThis is an unpaid, for credit legal externship opportunity.\nEmployees may be eligible for annual and long-term incentives as part of their overall compensation package, depending on role, location, and eligibility.
