Responsibilities:

• Responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable, reusable, and robust automation frameworks for web, API, or mobile applications.
• Responsible for creating, executing, and optimizing automated test scripts to ensure thorough coverage of features and regression scenarios.
• Responsible for architecting, developing, and evolving sophisticated test automation frameworks and tools that can be leveraged across multiple projects and teams.
• Responsible for setting the overall test automation vision and strategy in alignment with product, engineering, and business goals.
• Responsible for integrating automated testing throughout the software development lifecycle and deeply embedding automation into CI/CD and DevOps workflows.
• Responsible for identifying gaps in test coverage and guiding teams to increase automation efficiency, effectiveness, and coverage with minimal manual intervention.
• Responsible for leading technical reviews of test automation code, frameworks, and approaches produced by SDET 1s, 2s, and QA engineers, ensuring quality and consistency.
• Responsible for serving as a subject matter expert in test automation, QA processes, and quality engineering, providing direction, mentorship, and skill-building opportunities to less experienced team members.
• Responsible for advancing the use of performance, load, security, and other non-functional testing as part of the overall test strategy.
• Responsible for collaborating with developers, architects, DevOps, and product leadership to ensure that testability, automation, and quality standards are built into designs and technical decisions.
• Responsible for researching, evaluating, recommending, and implementing new tools, frameworks, and technologies to improve test efficiency and effectiveness, including emerging fields like AI/ML for testing and cloud-native quality engineering.

Requirements:

• B. E/ B. Tech, MCA, M. E/ M. Tech Graduate with 6+ years of experience
• 6+ years of experience in test automation with at least 1 year in a leadership, architect, or senior SDET role.
• Deep experience architecting and building robust, scalable automation frameworks (UI, API, Mobile), ideally across multiple tech stacks.
• Expert-level proficiency in at least one programming language (e. g., Java, Python, C#, JavaScript), with solid experience in OOP, design patterns, and code optimization.
• Proven track record of integrating, maintaining, and optimizing automated tests in modern CI/CD environments (e. g., Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).
• In-depth understanding of modern web architectures and advanced testing of REST, SOAP, GraphQL, and microservices. Experience designing, developing, and maintaining robust automation frameworks.
• Strong SQL skills and experience validating data across complex scenarios, including big data or distributed systems.
• Hands-on knowledge of performance (e. g., JMeter, Gatling) and security testing tools (e. g., OWASP ZAP, Burp Suite) is highly preferred.
• Ability to define and execute test strategies for large, complex systems or multiple projects; proven in risk-based testing and optimizing test coverage.
• Experience mentoring and guiding other SDETs or QA engineers; ability to lead cross-team technical initiatives and code reviews.
• Strong ability and track record in advocating for high-quality engineering practices across development, QA, and product teams.
• Excellent verbal and written skills, able to articulate complex technical issues to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to produce comprehensive technical documentation frameworks, processes, strategy guides, and playbooks
• Experience evaluating, recommending, and piloting new tools or practices (e. g., AI/ML for testing, service virtualization, and test data management solutions).
• Contributions to open-source testing frameworks, technical blogs, or speaking at industry events.
