To support our growth in innovative, sustainable data centres, we seek experienced professionals in the Netherlands, Germany, Switzerland, the UK, and South Africa.\nWhat you do as an Electrical Engineer (MCF/ Data Centres)\nAs an Electrical Engineer (MCF/Data Centres), you will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across the globe to design, analyse and model electrical systems for some of the world's most complex mission-critical facilities. You will be responsible for developing power systems ranging from 5 VDC to 150 kV, including power distribution networks, energy storage solutions, redundancy concepts, generators and UPS systems. By maintaining and optimising electrical network models, you will help ensure safe, reliable and resilient operations. In addition, you will develop protection schemes, access control and resilience solutions, while supporting activities such as risk assessments, testing, commissioning and operational readiness to ensure facilities perform as intended from day one.\nKey responsibilities:\nDeliver electrical work packages for data centre projects;\nBuild and maintain ETAP models;\nPerform load flow, short-circuit, protection, arc-flash, motor-starting, harmonic, reliability, and contingency studies;\nDesign MV/LV distribution, UPS, generation, switchgear, protection, and critical power systems;\nCoordinate Revit/BIM and ETAP models, diagrams, layouts, and design documents;\nProduce specifications, calculations, reports, tender documents, and other deliverables;\nSupport planning, cost and risk reviews, technical decisions, and multidisciplinary coordination;\nReview tenders and vendor proposals and participate in design reviews, workshops, and hazard assessments;\nSupport FAT, SAT, IST, commissioning, readiness, testing, and troubleshooting;\nCommunicate progress and risks and ensure compliance with standards, client requirements, and mission-critical principles.\nYou will work in a cross-border hybrid team, delivering projects and improving processes.\nYou will share knowledge across our MEP and MCF communities.\nWhat you bring\nYou are an entrepreneurial, result oriented, proactive individual with a positive flexible and problem-solving attitude. Besides that, you have:\nBachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering, with 4 - 7+ years post graduate relevant, multi-disciplinary experience, within a consulting engineering environment;\nECSA Professional registration or progress toward ECSA professional registration;\nExperience in design of data centres/ mission critical facilities is an advantage;\nRevit, ACC, ETAP, Dialux and Excel software proficiency;\nRevizto, automation and AI tools experience are advantageous;\nStrong understanding of industry standards and design/ construction practices;\nGood awareness of clients’ operational and business needs;\nProactive, flexible, and results-oriented professional with strong problem-solving skills;\nCollaborative team player with excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken.\nWhat you can expect from us\nAt Haskoning, we believe that the well-being of our employees is essential to our shared success.
