In this role, you bring together civil engineering knowledge, BIM expertise, and multidisciplinary collaboration in one challenging position.\nWhat you do as a Junior Controls Engineer\nAs a Junior Controls Engineer, you will support the design, coordination, and implementation of Building Management Systems (BMS), Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS), and associated monitoring and control systems for data centre projects.\nWorking alongside experienced Control & Instrumentation, Electrical, Mechanical, BIM, and Commissioning Engineers, you will contribute to the successful delivery of highly resilient mission-critical facilities.\nYour key responsibilities:\nSupport the development of the Controls Philosophy.\nAssist in producing comprehensive controls design packages for global greenfield and brownfield\nAssist with condition surveys of existing control systems and associated instrumentation.\nAssist in preparing survey reports that identify legislative non-compliance and required operational improvements.\nHelp determine the optimal design approach within technical and commercial constraints.\nSupport the development of system architectures for industrial environments, including greenfield installations and brownfield C&I upgrades.\nAssist in developing control system designs from initial concept through to developed\nAssist in preparing performance specifications.\nAssist in preparing design deliverables, including drawings, schedules, and datasheets.\nDevelop the associated 3D Revit model in accordance with project requirements.\nCoordinate control systems scopes with other engineering disciplines.\nAssist in preparing and evaluating tender packages, performance specifications, and Bills of Quantities (BOQs).\nSupport the construction and commissioning phases, including RIBA Stage 5, by reviewing technical submittals, responding to construction queries, and conducting site visits.\nParticipate in testing and commissioning as required.\nWhere you will work\nAt Haskoning, you will join an independent consultancy that combines engineering, design, and advisory services with software and technology. Besides that, you have:\nA bachelor’s (BEng, BSc or BTech) or master’s degree in electrical engineering, electronic engineering, control & instrumentation engineering, mechatronic engineering or automation engineering.\n2-5 years post-graduate experience in consulting engineering, industrial automation, controls engineering or building systems.\nExperience in mission-critical facilities or data centres would be advantageous.\nExposure to building services, industrial controls, automation systems or critical infrastructure projects.\nProgress toward ECSA registration is advantageous.\nBasic knowledge or practical exposure in the following areas:Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS).\nFundamentals of PLC, SCADA and HMI-based control systems.\nIndustrial communication protocols, basic network architecture and HVAC controls.\n\nProficiency in Revit and BIM workflows, Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) and Revizto software.\nWhat you can expect from us\nAt Haskoning, we believe that the well-being of our employees is essential to our shared success.
