Given the regional nature of the position, periodic travel between both locations will be expected.\nWhat will you do\nAs a Senior Controls Engineer, you will lead the design and delivery of Building Management Systems (BMS) and Power Management Systems (PMS) for mission-critical data centre projects. You’ll work with multidisciplinary teams, develop technical solutions, and ensure all designs meet industry standards and client requirements across both greenfield and brownfield projects.\nKey Responsibilities\nLead development of the Controls Philosophy and overall control system design.\nProduce complete Controls design packages for global projects.\nConduct condition surveys on existing control systems and instrumentation.\nPrepare reports outlining legislative non-compliance and improvement actions.\nDetermine optimal design approaches balancing technical and commercial factors.\nSupport system architecture development for greenfield and brownfield C&I upgrades.\nCreate Control System designs from concept to detailed design, including performance specifications.\nProduce design deliverables-drawings, schedules, datasheets.\nCoordinate Control Systems scope with other engineering disciplines.\nCollaborate with Revit Technicians and oversee development of 3D Revit models.\nCoordinate network infrastructure requirements with Network Infrastructure Engineers.\nPrepare and review tender documents, specifications, and BOQs.\nSupport construction and commissioning phases, including reviewing submittals, responding to queries, and conducting site visits.\nParticipate in testing and commissioning, up to Integrated Systems Testing.\nWhere you will work\nAt Haskoning, you will join an independent, employee-owned international consultancy that combines engineering, design, and consultancy services with software and technology. We collaborate with leading clients in markets such as infrastructure, climate resilience, renewable energy, decarbonisation of industry, and sustainable mobility.\nWhat you bring\nMust-Have Qualifications:\nBachelor’s or Master’s in Process Automation, Mechatronics, Systems Design Engineering, or equivalent experience.\n\nConsulting experience in data centres or similar industries.\n\n5+ years as a Controls Engineer in an MCF environment, ideally data centres.\n\nStrong HVAC process automation knowledge.\n\nExperience with SCADA, BMS/PMS/DCIM systems and emerging tech (AI, ML).\n\nFamiliarity with ISO 22237, EN 50600, and related legislation.\n\nProficient with Autodesk tools (viewing/mark-ups).\n\nExcellent English communication skills.\n\nStrong organizational, analytical, and time-management abilities.\n\nAble to work independently and travel as needed.\n\nPreferred:\nKnowledge of NOCs, SOCs, and site radio systems.\n\nWhat we offer you\nWithin our company you will be able to develop yourself while working on challenging projects in Indonesia, Vietnam and worldwide.
