We look forward to hearing from you.\nThe Civil Supervisor (12-month Fixed Term Contract) is responsible for supervising and directing construction activities for an assigned discipline within a specific work area by overseeing and coordinating the construction contractors and maintaining the project performance goals. The discipline supervisor will take all necessary measures to ensure that the works performed by the contractors under his responsibility are undertaken safely, executed to the prescribed quality standard, and in compliance with design specifications, schedule, and cost requirements. A supervisor must be a competent person in the construction trade so that they may accurately evaluate the methods and performance in all respects of the particular scope elements of the project for which they are accountable.\nKey Responsibilities:\nResponsible for construction supervision and administration including supervision of contractors and their subcontractors for assigned portions of the project\nEnsure that the contractors perform the work in a safe manner and adhere to the health, safety and environmental rules and regulations for the specific project\nAssists in the coordination of the design deliverables to support continuous and efficient construction\nCommunicates the identification, management and resolution of deficiencies and non-conformance to the Construction Manager\nAssists with site administration and record keeping procedures in accordance with the Construction Execution Plan\nAssists with construction estimating, scheduling, cost control and reporting for all work being performed by the contractor in his assigned area of the project.\nQualifications and Experience\nEssential:\nTechnical degree/diploma or trade qualifications and equivalent years of supervisory experience required for a leadership position\nMinimum five to ten years’ onsite experience on major projects\nCan demonstrate a health and safety focus in the planning and construction execution of a project\nStrong leadership skills, the ability to motivate and lead discipline-focused site teams to successfully execute the assigned scope of work\nStrong written and oral communication skills\nExcellent negotiation and interpersonal skills\nBroad knowledge of the EPCM model of project delivery including the activities, interfaces and interdependencies of all project disciplines (engineering, procurement, construction management, and other project related disciplines)\nComprehensive knowledge and ability to practically interpret and apply good construction practice and appropriate industry standards\nWilling to work a 6:2 rotation\nAbility to operate effectively in a team environment.\nThis is a site-based position and will include extended travel to remote areas.\nWhy join us?\nWork with great people to make a difference\nCollaborate on exciting projects to develop innovative solutions\nTop employer\nWhat we offer you?\nFlexible work environment\nLong term career development\nThink globally, work locally\nDon't meet every single requirement?
