We look forward to hearing from you.\nAbout the Role\nOur Bridge and Civil Structures team is seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Engineer, Bridge and Civil Structures to support the delivery of major infrastructure projects across Australia and the Asia-Pacific region. This role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse range of transportation and civil infrastructure projects, including bridges, retaining walls, culverts, tunnels, gantries, and other structural assets.\nThe successful candidate will be responsible for leading structural design activities, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, mentoring junior engineers and drafters, and contributing to the successful delivery of high-quality engineering solutions for our clients.\nKey Responsibilities\nUndertake structural analysis and design of bridge and civil infrastructure projects.\nDeliver design packages for reinforced concrete, steel, and civil structures from concept through to detailed design.\nCoordinate and review the work of engineers, designers, and drafters to ensure quality and timely delivery of project outputs.\nPrepare technical reports, design calculations, specifications, sketches, and engineering documentation.\nPerform engineering assessments, feasibility studies, and high-level evaluations using sound engineering judgement and first-principles calculations.\nSupport project managers in planning, resource allocation, and delivery management.\nEnsure designs comply with applicable codes, standards, client requirements, and industry best practices.\nMentor and develop junior engineers within the team.\nContribute to continuous improvement initiatives and technical excellence within the business.\nPreferred Candidate Profile\nApplicants should possess the following attributes and experience:\nEssential\nBachelor's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.\nMinimum 10 years' experience in structural engineering design.\nDemonstrated experience in the design and assessment of:\nBridges\nRetaining walls\nCulverts\nTunnel and underground structures\nGantry structures\nOther civil infrastructure structures, transportation and civil engineering assets\nStrong understanding of structural behaviour and engineering fundamentals.\nAbility to undertake independent hand calculations and first-principles engineering assessments for design verification and high-level evaluations.\nStrong written and verbal English communication skills.\nExperience preparing engineering reports, design calculations, and technical documentation.\nFundamental drafting and engineering sketching skills for technical coordination and communication purposes.\nHighly Regarded\nExperience in the structural design of:\nReinforced concrete structures\nStructural steel structures\nPrestressed concrete structures\nExperience working on Australian and international projects.\nFamiliarity with Australian standards (AS3600, AS4100, AS5100) and design practices is highly regarded but not essential.\nExperience using finite element analysis and structural design software.
