Join our vision of a low-carbon world and help make positive change!\nHatch is currently seeking a highly motivated Hydrotechnical Engineering Student to join our Thunder Bay office. Hydrotechnical Engineering is a branch of Civil Engineering that focuses on the study, design, and management of water resources.\nAs part of the Hydrotechnical team, you will be assigned to project teams to assist experienced engineers with technical analyses and designs related to civil engineering hydraulics, hydrology, and water resources management and planning.\nAs the successful candidate, you will:\nConduct hydrology and hydraulics analyses, calculations, and computer simulations using spreadsheets or discipline-specific software packages.\nSupport the preparation of technical reports, drawings, specifications, and correspondence.\nAssist with development of proposals and presentations for clients.\nConduct field visits to client sites (if required).\nYou bring to the role:\nEnrollment in an accredited civil, hydrotechnical, or water resources engineering (or similar) undergraduate or graduate program at the university level, and successful completion of at least the second year of the program.\nDemonstrated coursework, research, and/or work experience in hydrotechnical engineering topics. This includes topics such as open-channel hydraulics and statistical hydrology. \nProficiency in the use of programs such as GIS, AutoCad, and Microsoft® desktop software including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Project.\nExperience using hydrotechnical software such as HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, or similar platforms will be considered an Asset.\nCompetencies:\nDedicated team player with strong interpersonal, communication, analytical, and organizational skills.\nExceptional communication and interpersonal skills.\nCompensation:\nRange: $26.00 - $33.00\nAt Hatch, we are committed to fair and equitable compensation practices.
