This role entails working with diverse teams, both locally, and abroad.\n\n The successful candidate will contribute to design, assessment, development, and delivery of surface and underground mining-related infrastructure across all project phases, including Concept Studies, Pre-Feasibility Studies (PFS), Feasibility Studies (FS), Execution (Detail Design), Construction Support and Commissioning.\n\n Working within multidisciplinary teams, the engineer will support the design and delivery of mechanical systems associated with shafts, underground mining infrastructure, materials handling systems, process plants, pumping systems, ventilation systems, refrigeration facilities, workshops, and associated mine infrastructure.\n\nIdeal Candidate Profile\n\n A mechanical engineer who combines strong technical design capability with 2 to 5 years of post-graduate practical project experience within an engineering consulting, EPCM, mining house, contractor, or industrial environment. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, and the ambition to grow into a lead mechanical engineering role through participation in complex surface and underground mining projects across Southern Africa and internationally.\n\nPrerequisites\n\n 2-5 years’ experience within an engineering consulting, EPCM, mining house, contractor, or industrial environment. Exposure to mining projects is advantageous.\n\n Registration as a Candidate Engineer with ECSA. Progress toward Professional Registration is preferred.\n\n BSc/B.
