high-quality, secure software and tackling intricate data problems for individuals who are driven by innovation and dedicated to excellence.\nIn this role, you will:\nArchitect and implement secure, reliable, and scalable microservices, applying deep understanding of software architecture principles and best practices.\nIntegrate VIA’s Web3 components and privacy-preserving technologies to deliver cutting-edge features and innovative platform functionality.\nDefine, document, and drive adoption of end-to-end software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes, ensuring clarity and efficiency from initial concept through deployment and maintenance.\nSpearhead the creation, development, and optimization of automation pipelines for continuous integration, testing, and deployment (CI/CD), ensuring efficient and reliable application releases.\nDevelop and execute comprehensive automated testing strategies, including unit and integration tests, to deliver high-quality, robust software.\nProactively monitor, troubleshoot, analyze, and optimize the performance of deployed applications, working to mitigate bottlenecks.\nServe as a subject matter expert and provide technical leadership in privacy and security, guiding project delivery and ensuring VIA’s solutions meet the highest standards.\nClearly articulate complex software designs, architectural choices, and technical processes to diverse audiences, including technical peers and non-technical stakeholders.\nCollaborate effectively with various cross-functional teams to ensure alignment, solve problems, and achieve successful project outcomes.\nRapidly grasp new technical concepts and effectively apply this knowledge to address complex challenges and develop innovative solutions that meet customer needs.\nContinuously explore and thoughtfully integrate relevant advancements in privacy, cryptography, and distributed systems to contribute to VIA's cutting-edge products.\nWhat you will bring to this role:\nBachelor’s degree or higher in computer science, mathematics, engineering, or science\n5+ years of relevant full stack or backend development experience\nStrong experience with cloud-based software development in a microservices environment and cryptography techniques, including:\nDeveloping RESTful APIs (using frameworks such as FastAPI) secured by OAuth2/Auth\nIntegrating asymmetric and/or symmetric encryption in applications\nThorough working knowledge of data structures, algorithms, databases (SQL and NoSQL), and in-memory data storage\nExtensive knowledge of parallel processing, message brokers, and/or distributed task queues\nWorking knowledge of Docker containers\nPrevious experience leading an Agile team of developers a plus:\nProven on-time delivery of multiple quality software projects\nAbility to advocate for technical excellence, maintaining the highest standard of software engineering practices\nModel an ability to identify blockers and use critical thinking to provide creative solutions\nProficiency in documentation and the desire to clearly communicate technical processes to both non-technical and technical audiences.\nExposure to the following a plus: IETF RFCs, blockchain systems, zero-knowledge proofs\nService mesh (Istio), zero trust architecture and observability\nWorking knowledge of Helm
