Hatch is currently seeking highly motivated Mechanical/Piping Engineers to join our Project Delivery Group (PDG) at our offices in Houston, TX.\nThe Hatch PDG provides you with an opportunity to be part of an integrated engineering team which provides engineering services for projects within the USA Region and across the globe. Working closely with our senior engineers and designers, the Mechanical/Piping Engineer will be an integral part of the team working on challenging projects. This position will allow the candidate to directly apply and develop his or her knowledge in mechanical design, stress analysis and hydraulic system design, while developing new skills. The candidate will help drive the Hatch Digital Project Delivery program, which includes intelligent 3D modeling, data centric multi-discipline engineering, and integrated delivery models. Hatch also offers exposure to the latest calculation and analysis tools to support engineering completion. Join our team and become part of a community that strives for positive change-providing the best solutions for our clients’ toughest challenges!\nAs a successful candidate, you will:\nPerform Digital Project Delivery of Mechanical and Piping Engineering functions within multi-disciplinary teams across established and emerging industries and markets.\nAssist project team in understanding of the project requirements as they relate to scope, execution strategy, cost, and schedule\nSupport site field visits to obtain information and data to support projects.\nSupport equipment identification and selection activities, including sizing, layout, technical specifications, and vendor information reviews.\nSupport piping system design activities, such as hydraulic analysis, piping and instrumentation diagram (P&ID) development, material specification development, stress analysis, and layout.\nSupport population of information and attributes into the data-centric project environment\nInterface with vendors throughout the design and procurement process\nSupport direct interface with the client throughout the project duration\nParticipate in HAZOP reviews\nAssist in resolution of engineering issues during Project lifecycle, including planning phase, design, procurement, fabrication, construction and commissioning\nPromote and maintain the application of ethical and professional practices in the execution of engineering work\nAdhere to and promote the Hatch corporate safety culture.\nYou bring to the role:\nBachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from an accredited university\nApproximately 5+ years of engineering experience\nStrong deliverable focus, ability to plan you work\nAbility to learn and understanding inter-discipline dependencies related to the Mechanical and Piping Engineering functions\nExposure to procurement, contracting and commissioning methodologies\nSound knowledge of codes and standards applicable to the Project\nWell-developed communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills\nProfessional Engineer license or Engineer-In-Training status is preferred\nSite experience in a technical role is preferred.\nWhy join us?\nWork with great people to make a difference\nCollaborate on exciting projects to develop innovative solutions\nTop employer\nWhat we offer you?\nFlexible work environment\nLong term career development\nThink globally, work locally\nDon't meet every single requirement?
