Reporting to the Infrastructure group, you will support offices globally working from our Long Beach, CA office location.\nWe’re entrepreneurs with a technical soul. We encourage candidates to connect with their recruiter and hiring manager to understand workplace expectations and ensure the role aligns with their goals.\nHatch will not provide sponsorship for employment visas or participate in STEM OPT for this position.\nQualifications:\nCurrently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in urban planning, transportation planning, civil engineering, mechanical engineering, or relevant discipline\nMinimum of a cumulative 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale\nAs the successful candidate, you will:\nApply planning principles to provide efficient, effective, economical, and timely solutions to port planning challenges in multivariable and multidiscipline project environments\nConduct road, rail, and marine operations and infrastructure planning efforts in accordance with transportation planning standards, quality objectives, and client needs\nCollect, review, and analyze a variety of planning and operational data to meet project objectives\nPrepare reports, technical memos, presentations, schedules, maps, figures, diagrams, and models\nYou bring to the role:\nCommitment to achieving planning excellence\nInterest in the maritime industry, including global trade and supply chain trends; ocean carriers, Class I railroads, and trucking companies; and freight infrastructure and operations across a variety of modes, facilities, and commodities\nPassion for freight transportation planning\nExperience with ArcGIS is a plus\nWillingness to travel to various Hatch offices, project, and supplier sites subject to project requirements\nPrevious co-op or internship experience is considered an asset\nRequirements for all sectors:\nTo live our manifesto.
