We take a staged approach to verifying technical readiness and ensuring organizational preparedness, right up to achieving full operational capacity.\nThe opportunity\nHatch is seeking a Regional Director, CORE to lead and grow the Commissioning & Operational Readiness and Ramp-up Excellence practice across Europe. This role is responsible for regional business performance, strategic growth, client relationships, people leadership and delivery oversight across the region. Based in London, this senior leader will combine market development, project governance, technical credibility and people leadership. The Regional Director will build a connected European team, develop new work and provide executive oversight and hands-on guidance to complex capital projects, applying global standards to regional market and project needs. The successful candidate will act as a trusted advisor to clients, develop future leaders, strengthen Hatch's market position and ensure the successful delivery of client outcomes across the project lifecycle.\nWe are looking for an owner-minded leader who improves processes, bridges technical execution with strategy and builds enduring capability and client value.\nWhat you will do\nRegional strategy and business leadership\nDefine and execute the European CORE strategy in alignment with Hatch’s global operating model and regional priorities.\nDrive regional revenue growth, profitability, utilization and work in hand targets.\nDevelop and execute strategic business plans aligned with regional and global growth priorities.\nIdentify emerging market opportunities, service offerings and strategic partnerships that expand CORE's market presence.\nClient and market development\nBuild trusted executive relationships with owners and operators and identify opportunities across the asset lifecycle.\nLead major pursuits, including strategy, scope, execution model, staffing, schedule, fees and proposal reviews.\nConvert market insight and client credibility in capital-intensive industries into sustainable growth.\nSponsor priority client accounts and support account growth strategies across the region.\nRepresent Hatch at executive forums, conferences, industry events and market engagements.\nStrengthen collaboration with other Hatch service lines to deliver integrated solutions and maximize client value.\nProject delivery, governance and assurance\nServe as Project Sponsor for strategic engagements, providing executive leadership, governance oversight, stakeholder alignment and support for key decisions, risks and escalations across the CORE value proposition.\nEstablish governance, assurance reviews, readiness assessments and escalation pathways for safety, quality, schedule, commercial and technical risks.\nSupport delivery sponsors and delivery teams in resolving complex stakeholder, commercial and operational challenges.\nEnsure implementation of global CORE standards, methodologies and best practices across regional projects.\nDrive continuous improvement through lessons learned, innovation and knowledge sharing across the practice.\nTechnical Leadership Provide strategic oversight of commissioning, operational readiness, startup and ramp-up as well as asset maintenance activities across projects.\nChampion best-practice approaches that improve project outcomes, operational performance and value realization for clients.\nProvide technical guidance and subject matter leadership where required on key projects and pursuits.\nPeople and capability leadership\nBuild, lead and develop a high-performing European CORE team fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration and technical excellence and client focus\nSet the vision, culture and performance expectations for the regional practice.\nLead, mentor and inspire a diverse team of project directors, managers and practitioners across Europe.\nDrive workforce planning, succession planning, recruitment and capability development to support regional growth.\nFoster a culture of collaboration, accountability, safety, inclusion and continuous improvement.\nSupport performance management, coaching and career development to enable employees to reach their full potential.\nPromote collaboration across regions and disciplines to leverage global expertise and build a connected CORE community.\nWhat you bring\nRequired experience and qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical discipline; a relevant professional designation is preferred.\n15+ years of progressive experience in commissioning, completions, construction, startup, operational readiness or major project execution, including leadership across complex projects, sites or countries.\nDemonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary teams, managing business performance and driving growth within consulting, EPCM, project delivery or owner-operator environments.\nProven ability to build client relationships, develop business and lead strategic growth initiatives.\nStrong understanding of commissioning, startup, operational readiness, asset maintenance and project delivery principles across major capital projects.\nStrong commercial judgment and a record of creating and winning work in consulting, EPCM, project delivery or owner-operator environments.\nDeep experience in at least one of Hatch’s principal sectors: metals, energy or infrastructure.\nExcellent executive communication, stakeholder management, negotiation, critical thinking and change-leadership skills;
