From responding to 111 calls to supporting people to stay healthy through health education, access and monitoring, we make a life-changing difference every day.\n He aha te tūranga - About the role:\nAs a Learning Support Coordinator, you will coordinate the day to day delivery of learning support services across our ambulance education programmes, helping ensure learners have the support they need to participate and succeed.\nWorking within the Clinical Programme and Moderation team, you’ll be the central point of contact for learning support needs and work closely with learners, Clinical Programme Leads, line managers and other stakeholders.\nIn this role, you will:\nCoordinate and administer learning support referrals from learners, Clinical Support Officers and line managers.\nCoordinate pre-screening for learners with specific learning difficulties, helping identify support needs and inform learning success plans.\nMaintain accurate learning support records, including the learning support register, extensions and learner information within SELMA.\nSupport the administration and monitoring of learning success plans, working with learners, line managers and Clinical Programme Leads.\nCollate data and feedback to identify trends and support continuous improvement of learning support processes.\nEnsure learning support documentation and processes meet organisational, privacy and NZQA requirements.\nProvide administration and coordination support to the wider Clinical Programme and Moderation team as required.\nThis is a permanent, part time position, working 20 hours per week. The role can be based in Auckland, Christchurch or Tauranga, with hybrid working available.\n Ko wai koe - About you:\nYou’ll be an organised and approachable administrator who enjoys supporting others and can confidently manage sensitive information. You’ll be comfortable managing competing priorities and working with a range of people, while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.\nTo be successful in this role, you will have:\nA minimum of NCEA Level 2 or equivalent.\nAt least two years experience in an administration or customer service based role.\nExcellent Microsoft Office and general computer literacy, including experience using databases and online systems.\nStrong written, verbal and listening skills, with excellent attention to detail and accuracy.\nEffective time management, prioritisation and organisational skills.\nExperience coordinating activities and resources, with the ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team.\nAn understanding of learning support practices, including reasonable accommodations and extensions within a tertiary, vocational or workplace training environment.\nFamiliarity with student management systems and confidential record keeping in an education or clinical training environment.\nExperience in learning support, education coordination or a learner-focused support role would be advantageous.\nKnowledge of NZQA requirements and quality assurance expectations would be desirable.\nA relevant professional qualification in business administration or similar would be desirable.\nAn understanding and appreciation of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and its application within Hato Hone St John, along with a positive, flexible and collaborative approach.\n Me pēhea te tuku tono - How to apply\nClick “I’m interested ” before applications close on 27 November 2026.\nFor further information please contact Anna Freeman - Recruitment Advisor  for a confidential discussion.\nAt Hato Hone St John, we embrace diversity, welcoming everyone to bring their authentic selves to work.
