From responding to 111 calls to supporting people to stay healthy through health education, access and monitoring, we make a life-changing difference every day.\n He aha te tūranga - About the role:\nAs our Security Operations Manager, you'll lead the ongoing development and maturity of our cyber security operations capability, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity and availability of our information, systems and services.\nThis is a newly established role with a unique opportunity to shape and strengthen our security operations function. Leading a growing team and working closely with strategic service providers, you'll be responsible for building capability, embedding best practice, and ensuring our cyber security controls, processes and responses remain effective in an evolving threat landscape.\nAs Security Operations Manager, you will:\nLead the day-to-day cyber security function and security team.\nOversee security operations, incident response, vulnerability management and security monitoring activities.\nDrive cyber security governance, risk management, compliance and continuous improvement initiatives.\nBuild and maintain strong relationships with security vendors, managed service providers and SOC partners.\nProvide security leadership and advice across technology projects, infrastructure, cloud platforms and emerging technologies.\nDevelop and promote a positive security culture through education, awareness and stakeholder engagement.\nLead security reporting, metrics and performance management activities.\nContribute to the development and execution of Hato Hone St John's cyber security strategy and roadmap\nThis is an opportunity to shape the future of cyber security within one of New Zealand's most recognised and trusted organisations. You'll work across the business to influence decision-making, improve security outcomes, and help ensure the technology services that support our people, patients, volunteers and communities remain secure and resilient.\nThe role is a permanent full-time opportunity based in Auckland or Christchurch.\n Ko wai koe - About you:\nTo be successful in this role you'll bring:\nProven experience in a cyber security leadership or management role.
