Someone else talked to the customer, someone else decided what gets built, and whether it actually helped is someone else's question.\nWe're looking for developers who want to do the whole job: talk to the people who use the software, decide what to build, build it and stay on it until it works for them. That's what we mean by product engineer. We took the term from PostHog, who describe it well in their Product Engineer Handbook.\nAbout us\nhausverwalter.ai is software for property management companies in Germany. Inbox, CRM, documents, telephony, video calls, team chat and AI agents in one platform, so property managers can do their daily work in one place. We're a small team based in Worms, Germany, working fully remote. We're self-funded and profitable.\nWhat a product engineer does here\nYou talk to customers. You read the support requests and feedback for your area, look at how customers use it and talk to them directly. Nobody filters it for you.\n\nYou decide what to build. For your area you decide what comes next, based on what customers need and what matters for the company. You write down why, so the team can follow and give feedback.\n\nYou ship early. The first version goes to a few customers as soon as it's useful. Then you improve it based on what they say and do.\n\nYou build all of it. Data model, backend, frontend and UI. The result has to be clean, simple and intuitive to use, not only working.\n\nYou do support for your area. When something breaks or a customer is stuck, you fix it and tell them it's fixed.\n\nYou check whether it worked. Your job isn't done when the feature is live. You look at whether customers use it and whether it solved their problem.\n\nYou automate what you can. When a customer asks a support question, you add the answer to our knowledge base and update our internal agent, so next time it's handled automatically. A lot already runs on its own here, bug fixes are already processed semi-automatically, and we keep automating more.\n\nExamples of what you could work on\nA customer wants to bring their old file storage into our document management, with their own folder structure and thousands of documents, and it should be fast and AI-supported. You look at how they've organized their files, build the import as a general feature for all customers, set it up for them and test it with their folder structure. Then you check whether the AI assigned every document to the right building, apartment or contact and fix what doesn't fit.\n\nA customer reports that the inbox agent gave a tenant a wrong answer. You look at what the agent did, fix the tool or its instructions and let the customer know.\n\nOnly a few customers build their own agents in the sandbox. You find out why, by looking at the data and talking to customers, make the setup simpler and check whether more customers use it afterwards.\n\nProperty managers do the same task fifty times a day and it takes too many clicks. You notice it, talk to them about how they work and make it faster.\n\nOur tech stack\nEverything is TypeScript, from the database schema to the frontend.\nBackend: Convex (database & serverless functions)\nFrontend: Next.js, React, Tailwind, shadcn/ui\nAgents: Vercel AI SDK, LiveKit for voice\nYou'll build with Claude and get as many AI tokens as you need.\nSalary\n$1500 - $3000 per month before taxes with room for growth and promotion in the months & years ahead\n\nPermanent employment contract in your country of residence through our partner Deel (EOR)\n\nBenefits\n100% remote work\n\nFlexible hours\n\nSelf-funded & profitable, no VC money to burn through\n\nSmall team, what you build goes live\n\nQuick decisions, no pointless meetings and no layers of approval\n\nOur Health Program\nPrivate room in hospital, worldwide coverage\n\nFree choice of doctors & specialists, no health check, pre-existing conditions don't matter\n\nPartner and kids are covered as well\n\nSurgery, cancer care, MRI/CT/PET scans and diagnostics fully covered\n\nDental treatment & surgery covered at 90%\n\n$675/year for physio, osteopathy, chiropractic and acupuncture\n\n$100 per night in-patient cash benefit, up to 20 nights\n\nPrescription drugs, vaccinations, glasses/contacts, home nursing and ambulance covered\n\nOur values\nGet things done, every day matters\n\nTransparency and honesty, especially when it's hard\n\nHigh standards for our own work and each other's\n\nRequirements\nRequirements\nFluent English\n\nMore than a year of experience shipping production code\n\nWhat we look for\nYou care more about whether customers can get their work done than about the perfect implementation.\n\nYou have a good eye for aesthetics and UI design. You don't just ship whatever the AI generates. You keep working on the interface until it's clean and as simple and intuitive as possible for the people using it.\n\nYou finish things. A feature that's 80% done doesn't help anyone, so you stay on it until it works well.\n\nYou have an opinion on what to build and back it up with what customers say and do. When the feedback says otherwise, you change your mind.\n\nYou take feedback well and give honest feedback yourself.\n\nYou write clearly. As a remote team we work a lot in writing: issues, short proposals, PR descriptions.\n\nYou understand the basics of the business: who our customers are, what they pay for and why they stay.\n\nYou write almost all of your code with AI and understand architecture well enough to judge what it writes.\n\nYou'd rather automate a task than do it twice.\n\nYou're a generalist and learn new things quickly.\n\nNice to have\nYou've built your own product or side project that real people used, or you've worked directly with customers before.\n\nExperience designing databases and optimizing query performance & cost\n\nExperience building production agents, queues and long-running workflows\n\nThis role is not for you if\nyou want someone else to decide what you build and hand you tickets\n\nyou'd rather not deal with customers or support\n\nyou want to polish code for weeks before anyone sees it\n\nyou like to move on to the next idea before the last one really works\n\nHow we hire\nIntro call\n\nInterview with our founder about your background and the things you've built\n\nReference call with a previous manager\n\nOffer\n\nFor a closer look at what we're building, check out our YouTube channel (it's in German).","description_format":"text","description_chars":6393,"description_truncated":false,"requirements":{"experience_years_min":null,"management_years_min":null,"team_size_min":null,"manages_managers":false,"education":null,"security_clearance":false,"languages":[{"language":"English","level":"Advanced (C1)","optional":false}]},"benefits":[],"hiring_locations":[{"name":"Germany","iso":"DE","kind":"country"}],"hiring_excludes":[],"relocation_offered":false,"industries":["Real Estate","Document Management","Property Management"],"lifecycle":[{"event":"open","at":"2026-10-29T05:33:08Z"}],"visa":[],"liveness":{"score":90,"band":"hot","label":"Hiring now","p_open":1,"p_active":0.903,"p_room":1,"age_days":5,"expected_fill_days":22,"reasons":["conf:2","velocity","win:early"],"computed_at":"2026-10-30T05:48:23Z"},"pay":{"stated_usd_annual":36000,"is_top_pay":false},"html_url":"https://alion.io/job/hausverwalter-product-engineer-100-remote","json_url":"https://alion.io/job/hausverwalter-product-engineer-100-remote.json","meta":{"generated_at":"2026-10-30T23:31:05Z","cache_seconds":300,"methodology":"https://alion.io/methodology","terms":"https://alion.io/terms","contact":"https://alion.io/contact","api":"https://alion.io/developers","about":"Alion is a live layer of people, companies and AI agents: who they are, whether they are real and active right now, what they do and how to work with them, readable by people and by agents and paid per call.","catalog":"https://alion.io/catalog.json","usage":{"tier":"crawler_verified","counted_by":"address","units_charged":1,"used_today":14872,"day_limit":null,"remaining_today":null,"minute_limit":300,"resets_at":"2026-10-31T00:00:00Z"}},"offers":[{"id":"company.slices","title":"One company in depth, by slice","status":"live","price":{"credits":0.02,"usd":0.002,"plus_per_slice":{"credits":0.05,"usd":0.005}},"unit":"per company, plus each slice with data","note":"the employer in depth","call":{"mcp_tool":"get_company","arguments":{"id":720892},"rest":"https://alion.io/mcp/rest/get_company?id=720892"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=company.slices&for=job%2Fhausverwalter-product-engineer-100-remote"},{"id":"market.stats","title":"A market slice: pay, demand and time to fill","status":"live","price":{"credits":1,"usd":0.1},"unit":"per slice","note":"pay, demand and time to fill for this role and place","call":{"mcp_tool":"market_stats"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=market.stats&for=job%2Fhausverwalter-product-engineer-100-remote"},{"id":"job.search","title":"Open jobs by role, technology, place, pay and visa","status":"live","price":{"credits":0.02,"usd":0.002},"unit":"per posting in a list","note":"similar open postings","call":{"mcp_tool":"search_jobs"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=job.search&for=job%2Fhausverwalter-product-engineer-100-remote"},{"id":"company.verify","title":"Is this company real and active right now","status":"pilot","price":null,"unit":"per company","request":{"url":"https://alion.io/catalog/request","method":"POST","body":"{\"offer\": \"company.verify\", \"for\": \"job/hausverwalter-product-engineer-100-remote\", \"note\": \"what you need it for\"}"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=company.verify&for=job%2Fhausverwalter-product-engineer-100-remote"}],"agent":{"mcp":"https://alion.io/mcp/jobs","mcp_open":"https://alion.io/mcp/open","next":[{"tool":"get_job","arguments":{"id":3439948}},{"tool":"search_jobs","arguments":{"company":"hausverwalter.ai","detail":"compact"}},{"tool":"match_people","arguments":{"job_id":3439948},"note":"people open to offers who fit this vacancy"}],"note":"The same data through MCP tools: https://alion.io/mcp/open needs no sign-in (compact searches, postings, people);
