This role is responsible for translating product and process requirements into scalable, efficient manufacturing solutions aligned with Havis’ Operational Model.\nKey Responsibilities:\nManufacturing Excellence & Continuous Improvement\nDrive process improvement initiatives across all locations to enhance productivity, quality, safety, and cost performance\nLead cross-functional teams to optimize factory layouts, material flow, tooling, fixtures, and work cell design\nApply Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and data-driven problem-solving methodologies to eliminate waste and improve process capability\nMonitor manufacturing performance through observation, measurement, and analysis; recommend and implement corrective actions\nProcess Documentation & Standardization\nDevelop, maintain, and deploy standard manufacturing documentation, including Process Flows, PMFEAs, Control Plans and Work Instructions\nEnsure consistent training and adherence to standardized processes across manufacturing teams\nCapital Projects & Technology Enablement\nLead capital equipment and automation projects, including justification, implementation, and validation\nCollaborate with Facilities and Production teams to support equipment upgrades, capacity expansion, and process optimization\nEvaluate and support automation, robotics, and Industry 4.0 opportunities where appropriate\nNew Product Introduction (NPI) & Cross Functional Collaboration\nPartner closely with Product, Quality, Production & Design Engineering during new product introduction to ensure Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and smooth transition from development to full-scale production\nSupport development and validation of manufacturing processes, tooling, and fixtures for new and existing products\nWork closely with Purchasing and Quality teams to ensure robust incoming inspection processes\nLeadership & Team Development\nLead, mentor, and develop a team of Manufacturing Engineers, fostering both technical expertise and leadership capability\nEstablish clear goals, communicate expectations, and conduct regular performance evaluations and development planning\nPromote a culture of collaboration, accountability, continuous improvement, and employee engagement\nQualifications:\nEducationBachelor’s degree in Manufacturing engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field required\nMaster’s degree preferred\n\nWork ExperienceMinimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment\nAt least 2 years of experience in a people leadership or supervisory role\nPreferred experience in sheet metal fabrication & injection molding\n\nTechnical & Professional SkillsStrong working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies\nProficiency in SolidWorks or similar CAD software\nExperience with fixturing design, plant layout, and work cell development\nFamiliarity with ERP/MRP systems; Industry 4.0 technologies considered a plus\nExperience with automation, robotics, and CNC programming strongly preferred\nProficient in Microsoft Office, with advanced capability in Microsoft Excel\nAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills\nEffective verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present technical recommendations to varied audiences\n\n Physical & Work RequirementsAbility to regularly lift to 25 lbs. and occasionally up to 50 lbs.\nVisual requirements include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus\nComfortable working in a manufacturing environment that may include machinery, noise, dust, and chemicals (refer to SDS)\nUse of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and computer/electronic equipment as required\n\nCompany Details\nHavis is at the forefront of revolutionizing industries by unlocking the full potential of technology to drive productivity and enhance safety through innovative mobility solutions.
