This role ensures that customer demand is accurately translated into executable production plans, materials are available when needed, and product moves efficiently through the manufacturing process.\nKey Responsibilities\nProduction Control and Planning\nDevelop, maintain, and optimize the Master Production Schedule (MPS) based on sales forecasts, customer demand, capacity constraints, and material availability\nMonitor daily production outputs versus plan and adjust schedules as needed to meet customer requirements\nLead capacity planning, load-leveling, and constraint management\nWork closely with operations to balance labor, machine availability, and prioritization\nMaterials and Inventory Management\nEnsure timely availability of raw materials, components, and subassemblies to support production schedules\nDevelop and manage inventory strategies including safety stock, min/max levels, and inventory accuracy improvements\nCollaborate with purchasing to align supplier deliveries with production needs\nIdentify root causes of material shortages and lead cross-functional corrective actions\nLogistics and Data/Systems\nDrive improvement within inbound logistics and outbound shipments\nManage freight carriers, delivery schedules, and logistics cost optimization\nEnsure compliance with customer shipping requirements (e.g., labeling, packaging, EDI, ASN accuracy\nUtilize ERP/MRP systems for scheduling, materials planning, and inventory management\nEngagement and Collaboration\nPartner with engineering, operations, purchasing and quality to support new product introductions, engineering changes, and demand fluctuations\nLead discussions between customer service, sales, and production to finalize demand changes and delivery commitments\nRequired Qualifications\nMinimum of 5-8+ years of experience in production planning, materials management, logistics, or supply chain within a manufacturing environment\nBachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Operations Management, Business, Engineering, or related field\nFluency in Microsoft Office suite (Access, Excel, Word and Outlook)\nStrong experience with ERP/MRP systems (Microsoft Dynamics NAV/Business Central a plus)\nLean manufacturing and continuous improvement mindset\nDesired Skills/Abilities \nExcellent leadership and interpersonal skills\nEffective communication and collaboration skills\nExperience with SIOP/S&OP processes\nStrong analytical, decision-making and problem-solving skills\nProficient in data analysis and performance metric management\nAPICS/ASCM certifications (CPIM or CSCP) a plus\nMust be able to lift/move up to 30lbs, as well as long periods of sitting, walking and standing\nAbility to travel up to 15% within a calendar year\nVisual requirements include close vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to focus\nCompany Details\nHavis is at the forefront of revolutionizing industries by unlocking the full potential of technology to drive productivity and enhance safety through innovative mobility solutions.
