Title: Quality Control Inspector\nDepartment: Quality\nAccountability: This position reports to the Quality Supervisor\nResponsibilities:\nPerform inspections required to support factory production, including but not limited to first-pieces, incoming production materials, incoming samples, prototypes, in-process materials, finished goods, outgoing materials, and resource-specific production audits. \nProvide front-line support to production in determining acceptance/rejection criteria and with general quality-related issues and questions. \nSupport investigations into quality issues, including locating, quarantining, and sorting suspect materials. \nFor all inspections and inquiries, as applicable: Analyze and interpret engineering drawings, data, manuals, and other materials to determine specifications, inspection and testing procedures, formulas, and measuring instruments required. \nInspect, test, or measure materials, products, and work for conformance to specifications using appropriate instruments, including measuring dimensions using instruments such as calipers, gauges, and micrometers. \nAnalyze test data and make computations necessary to determine results. \nRecord inspection or test data, including marking items with details such as grade and acceptance or rejection status. \nReject products and materials not meeting specifications, and assist in creating MRRs, CAPAs, and engineering change requests. \nDiscuss inspection results with those responsible for products, recommend necessary corrective actions, and follow-up as needed for open corrective actions. \nNotify supervisors or other personnel of production problems and assist in identifying and correcting these problems. \n\nPerform calibrations as directed. \nPerform and/or participate in internal and external ISO audits as directed. \nPerform and/or assist in training personnel as directed. \nKeep records as required regarding corrective actions, inspection results, calibration records, engineering changes due to nonconformances, and related items. \nManage inspection and rejection items effectively, including making sure inventory is accurately transacted.\nOther related tasks as directed. \nRequirements:\nHigh School Diploma or GED Technical Certification, a plus \nComfortable presenting findings and recommendations both one-on-one and in meetings \nExperience using calipers, gauges, and related inspection equipment in a manufacturing environment \nAbility to read and interpret work instructions, production documents, and engineering drawings \nMust be detail-oriented, with excellent organizational and record keeping skills \nMust be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with an emphasis on Microsoft Excel \nAbility to communicate professionally both inside and outside of the company by email and phone \nCorrected 20/20 vision \nAbility to understand written and verbal instructions in English \nAbility to work in a team environment and communicate effectively \nMust be able to tolerate long periods of sitting and standing \nAbility to regularly lift and move up to 25lbs. and occasionally up to 50lbs.\nGeneral
