Learn more at Havoc: All-Domain Collaborative Autonomy .\nAbout the Role\nWe're looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join our Hardware Engineering team. The role is mechanical first: you'll also work with electrical systems, but mainly through integration and interfaces. You'll support new system development, payload integration and subsystem design for our uncrewed surface vessels. You'll work closely with electrical and software engineers to deliver hardware that is robust, manufacturable and ready for the field.\nThe ideal candidate is highly skilled in mechanical design and CAD and has taken complex mechanical systems from concept through production. You're comfortable working with electrical engineers to define interfaces, routing and packaging, without being the primary electrical designer.\nKey Responsibilities and Requirements\nSystem Development & Architecture: Lead and contribute to the mechanical design and integration of new systems and payloads, including structures, enclosures, mounts and overall system packaging. Support electrical integration by defining mechanical interfaces, routing paths and mounting solutions.\n\nMechanical Design: Create detailed SolidWorks models, assemblies and drawings for structures, housings, brackets, mounts and mechanisms built for marine environments.\n\nElectrical Interface Support: Work with electrical engineers to integrate wiring harnesses, connectors and electronic subsystems. Read electrical schematics as needed and own the mechanical side of cable routing, strain relief, connector mounting and environmental protection.\n\nIntegration & Testing: Take part in hardware builds, subsystem and bench testing, vehicle integration and troubleshooting to validate designs and make sure they perform reliably in real operating conditions.\n\nCross-Disciplinary Collaboration: Work closely with mechanical, electrical and software engineers to specify, design, build, test and integrate mechanical subsystems and electromechanical components such as actuators, motors and power distribution hardware.\n\nDocumentation: Produce and maintain accurate CAD drawings, bills of materials, interface control documents (ICDs), test results and configuration management records.\n\nManufacturing & Production Support: Partner with technicians and manufacturing teams to make sure designs are manufacturable, cost-effective, serviceable and built for rugged marine environments.\n\nQualifications\n3+ years of experience in mechanical engineering design and system integration\n\nStrong proficiency in SolidWorks for modeling and drafting\n\nSolid understanding of mechanical systems, materials, tolerances and structural design\n\nEnough familiarity with electrical systems to support integration, such as connectors, harness routing, grounding and environmental sealing\n\nHands-on experience prototyping, assembling, testing and troubleshooting mechanical and electromechanical systems\n\nExperience on cross-functional engineering teams, integrating subsystems into complete platforms\n\nBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field\n\nU.S. citizenship and eligibility for a Secret security clearance\n\nAble to work onsite at our North Kingstown, RI office at least 3 days per week\n\nPreferred Skills\nPayload integration experience on uncrewed vehicle systems, especially maritime or aerospace platforms\n\nFamiliarity with the mechanical side of harness routing, connectorization and enclosure design\n\nKnowledge of thermal management, sealing, vibration and shock for embedded hardware\n\nExperience with design for manufacturability (DFM) and ruggedized or marine systems\n\nStrong troubleshooting, root cause analysis and field-support mindset\n\nExperience with additive manufacturing\n\nBenefits:\n100% Employer paid Health Insurance\n\nDental and Vision Insurance for you and your families\n\nLife Insurance (Employer Paid)\n\nAbility to participate in the companies 401k program (Matching)\n\nUnlimited PTO policy with an enforced 2 week minimum\n\nEquity Package\n\nWork / Home Office Stipend\n\nGlobal Entry\n\n16 Week Paid Parental Leave\n\nMonthly Health and Wellness Stipend\n\nOur Values:\nInnovation: We are driven to break new ground.
