That’s why at Hawthorne Cat we are committed to a comprehensive employee benefit program that helps our employees stay healthy, feel secure, and maintain a work/life balance.\n\nJOB DESCRIPTION\n\nJob Title: Engine Service Supervisor\nReports to: General Service Manager\nFLSA Status: Exempt\nDivision: HPC\nDepartment: Service\nLocations: Waipahu\n\nPOSITION SUMMARY: Under the direction of the General Manager - Product Support (Pacific Region), the Service Supervisor accomplishes the departmental goals by developing parts sales and service opportunities with new customers, as well as maximizing sales with existing customers. The Service Supervisor ensures the successful daily operations of the branch.\n\nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:\nEnsures successful operations of daily branch responsibilities by daily review of all timecards and service reports, daily work in progress (WIP) review, and reviewing work orders prior to closing.\nMaintains records by recording problems and corrective actions planned and completing service reports and SIMS.\nAssists with managing costs by identifying work orders that are higher than the estimated or quoted cost and reviewing the work schedule to update WIP priorities, segments, parts, deliveries, and completion deadline. Implement methods of payment by identifying credit status and obtaining approval for credit, if necessary.\nInputs data to computers by compiling and sorting information, establishing entry priorities, and completing input.\nMaintains customer satisfaction by establishing rapport with customers and others in a position to help meet customer needs.\nAssists with the preparation of machinery service by answering phones and data processing.\nMaintains technicians’ payroll information by ensuring technicians’ repair description is correctly captured.\nPrepares work orders by inputting data, contacting customers for purchase order numbers, obtaining credit approval if needed, collecting payment for cash jobs, and making copies for files.\nPrepares vendor statements for approval by reviewing, researching unpaid invoices, and requesting for copies of outstanding invoices from vendors.\nPrepares invoices for payment by verifying amounts, selecting account numbers, and making copies for files.\nMaintains quality service by following organization standards.\nMaintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing publications.\nSupports cross-different departmental operations within the branch (Service, Sales, Rental, Parts).\nIdentifies and coordinates facility needs to include maintenance, repairs, improvements, and safety compliance.\nUpon return of equipment, checks for damage and coordinates with service for fueling, repairs, etc.\nKnowledgeable of Hawthorne Rent It Service processes, systems, and equipment.\nContributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.\nConducts evaluations for direct reports.\nProvides Ownership of Service and Branch Excellence Metrics for the branch.\nProvides first level, on-island support for customer issues and disputes.\nIs responsible for the branch WIP Management Process.\nIs responsible for the rollout and adherence to corporate programs / ERP usage by the branch.\nEnsures all service work is quoted and approved and proactively communicated to the customer.\nEnsures corporate policy adherence for branch service operations staff, including service process control, safety, EHS, etc.\nEnsure monthly EHS facility audits are conducted and communicated with corporate safety.\nIs responsible for the branch Service vehicle fleet maintenance, licensing, and repair.\nCompletes all other duties as assigned by management.\n\nEDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED:\nMust have a high school diploma or equivalent.\nMust have a minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in a CAT Dealer with demonstrated successful ability as a Service Coordinator.\nMust have a valid Driver’s License with a good driving record.\nMust have PC skills.\nMust have the ability to communicate clearly, both orally and in writing.\nMust have the ability to multitask and establish priorities.\nMust have the ability to maintain organization in a changing environment.\nMust have the ability to maintain a flexible attitude and approach towards assignments and successfully operate under ambiguous guidelines.\nMust have an excellent customer service aptitude and proper business etiquette.\nPHYSICAL DEMANDS:\nWalking: Moves about on foot, often through uneven terrain.\nHandling: Seizes, helps, or works with hands.\nLifting: Raises or lowers miscellaneous equipment up to 50 pounds.\nReaching: Extends hands and arms in any direction.\nStooping: Bends body downward and forward by bending at knees or waist.\nStanding: Remains in standing position if required to perform various functions of the job.\nClimbing: In and out of equipment.\nVision: Reads paperwork, employment files, and records on the computer.\nTalking: Communicates by radio, phone, and in person.\nSitting: Sits at desk and in vehicles for extended periods.\nLifting: Lifts up to 60lbs. daily, frequent exertion.\n\nENVIRONMENTAL: \nNoise: Works in conditions with constant or intermittent noise.\nTemp/Weather: Works in an office and shop environment with variations of temperature and weather.\nExposure: Subject to foul odors, fumes, and harsh substances.\nHere’s what we Offer…\nCompetitive Compensation\nA great work environment and culture\nCareer growth and advancement opportunities\nTraining\nMedical, Dental and Vision plans\nMedical video appointments available\nHealth Savings Account available\nPaid Time Off (PTO) Pay\n401(k) Plan + Company Matching\nHealth and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts\nLife & Accident Insurance\nEmployee Assistance Programs\nLegal Plan\nTravel Assistance Plan\nWellness Programs\nReferral Bonus Program\nLongevity Bonus Program\nRecognition Programs and much more\nHawthorne CAT discounts\nBoot Reimbursement\nTuition Reimbursement\nCompany-Supplied Uniforms\nAdvanced Technical Training\nEstimated Compensation $65,000.00 - $70,000.00 annually\nInterested in joining the Hawthorne team?
