The role involves reviewing drawings, specifications, Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and project requirements; coordinating shop drawings, material approvals, RFIs, technical submissions and design clarifications; and ensuring that electrical works are planned and executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, applicable standards, quality requirements and project schedules.\nThe Engineer will coordinate with consultants, clients, suppliers, subcontractors and site teams to resolve technical issues, monitor project progress, identify delays and critical activities, and ensure the timely availability of materials and engineering deliverables. The role will also support quantity take-offs, cost control, variation assessments, value engineering, testing and commissioning, and project handover documentation.\nResponsibilities\nReview and coordinate electrical drawings, specifications, BOQs, project requirements and contract documents.\nCoordinate the preparation, review and submission of shop drawings, material submittals, technical submissions, RFIs and design clarifications.\nCoordinate with consultants, clients, suppliers, subcontractors and site teams to resolve design and technical issues.\nPlan and coordinate electrical construction activities in line with approved project schedules and construction programmes.\nMonitor project progress and identify delays, constraints, critical activities and potential risks.\nCoordinate procurement requirements and ensure the timely availability of electrical materials, equipment and technical information.\nPrepare and review quantity take-offs, material requirements and BOQs.\nAssist with cost control, variation assessments, value engineering and commercial evaluations.\nEnsure that electrical works are executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, applicable codes and standards, and quality requirements.\nCoordinate with site teams to ensure the proper sequencing and integration of electrical works with other MEP and civil works.\nSupport testing, commissioning, inspection and rectification activities.\nAssist in preparing project progress reports, technical documentation, as-built drawings and handover documentation.\nCandidate Profile\nA degree or HND in Electrical Engineering, or an equivalent qualification.\nA minimum of five years’ relevant experience in electrical construction projects.\nExperience in electrical building services, commercial, industrial, infrastructure or similar construction projects would be an advantage.\nGood knowledge of electrical design, construction practices, project planning and coordination.\nPractical experience in BOQ preparation, quantity take-offs, material procurement and technical submittals.\nExperience in coordinating shop drawings, RFIs, material approvals and consultant/client requirements.\nKnowledge of testing, commissioning and project handover procedures.\nProficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Excel.\nA good understanding of applicable electrical standards, codes, specifications and quality requirements.\nIf you think you have what it takes to be successful in this challenging role, please click on “Apply Now”.
