Executive/Executive - Procurement & Import/Export Operations\nJob Responsibilities\nManage end-to-end procurement and import/export operations for the Food & Chemical business.\n\nRaise and manage Purchase Orders in SAP.\n\nObtain quotations and negotiate with international suppliers and freight forwarders.\n\nPrepare import costing and landed-cost calculations.\n\nCoordinate supplier orders, production readiness and shipment schedules.\n\nFollow up on ETD, ETA, vessel bookings, shipments and deliveries.\n\nEnsure timely receipt and accuracy of all shipping and import documentation.\n\nCoordinate Customs clearance and regulatory approvals.\n\nLiaise with Sri Lanka Customs, Plant Quarantine, DAPH, Import & Export Control, SLSI, Food Control and other relevant authorities, as applicable.\n\nCoordinate export documentation and export shipments.\n\nTrack supplier invoices, vendor payments and payment-related shipment requirements.\n\nMonitor import costs, freight, clearance charges, demurrage and detention.\n\nMaintain accurate SAP, procurement and shipment records.\n\nEnsure timely delivery, regulatory compliance and effective coordination with internal and external stakeholders.\n\nCandidate Profile\nDegree / Diploma in Supply Chain, Procurement, Logistics, International Trade, Food Science, Chemistry or a related field.\n\n3-5 years of relevant experience in a Food & Chemical-related business environment, preferably in import procurement or international trade.\n\nStrong hands-on experience in importing food products, food ingredients, chemicals, chemical raw materials or related products.\n\nPractical knowledge of Sri Lankan Customs and import procedures.\n\nHands-on experience in SAP Purchase Order processing and import costing.\n\nExperience of dealing with overseas suppliers, freight forwarders and Customs House Agents.\n\nGood knowledge of import/export documentation, HS Codes and Incoterms.\n\nExperience dealing with Plant Quarantine, DAPH, Import & Export Control, SLSI and Food Control will be an advantage.\n\nStrong negotiation, analytical, communication and follow-up
