The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the timely and cost-effective execution of construction activities while maintaining high standards of quality, safety and operational efficiency.\nKey Responsibilities\nSupervise, execute and coordinate all civil construction activities at the project site.\nInterpret and implement approved construction drawings, structural details, technical specifications and method statements.\nMonitor daily construction progress and ensure activities are completed in accordance with project schedules and milestones.\nCoordinate with project managers, consultants, MEP teams, subcontractors, suppliers and site personnel to ensure smooth project execution.\nInspect construction work to ensure compliance with approved drawings, quality standards and relevant engineering practices.\nConduct regular site inspections, identify construction defects, discrepancies and technical issues, and recommend appropriate corrective actions.\nEnsure compliance with health, safety and environmental requirements, and promote safe working practices among site personnel.\nPrepare and maintain daily site reports, progress updates, inspection records, material records and other relevant project documentation.\nMonitor the utilisation of labour, materials, equipment and other resources to ensure efficient site operations.\nCandidate Profile\nA BSc in Civil Engineering from a recognised university.\nRegistration as an Associate Engineer with the Engineering Council of Sri Lanka (ECSL) is mandatory.\nA minimum of five years of total experience in building construction projects.\nProven experience in supervising and coordinating civil construction activities at project sites.\nExperience in managing construction quality, site documentation, resources and project schedules.\nExperience working on large-scale building or institutional construction projects will be an added advantage.\nSound knowledge of civil construction methods, structural works, concrete works and finishing activities.\nAbility to read, interpret and implement civil and structural engineering drawings.\nKnowledge of construction quality control procedures, health and safety requirements, and relevant engineering standards.\nIf you think you have what it takes to be successful in this challenging role, please click on “Apply Now”.
