This role ensures a consistent and cost-effective supply of quality materials while maintaining compliance with regulatory and company standards.\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES:\nProcurement & Purchasing\nIdentify and source suppliers for materials, goods, and services required by the organisation.\nPrepare and issue purchase orders for required products and services.\nNegotiate prices, terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers.\nReview and process purchase requisitions from different departments.\nEnsure that purchases are made according to the company’s policies and budget constraints.\n\nVendor Management\nMaintain relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure good terms and reliable delivery.\nEvaluate and select suppliers based on quality, price, reliability, and service.\nPerform regular assessments of vendor performance and resolve any issues that arise.\n\nInventory Management\nMaintain accurate records of inventory levels and assist in managing stock.\nCoordinate with the inventory team to ensure timely reordering of stock to prevent shortages.\nTrack and manage the receipt of goods, ensuring they match purchase orders and are in good condition.\nEnsure proper documentation and filing of purchase records and receipts.\n\nCost Control & Budgeting\nAssist in budgeting for procurement and monitor spending to ensure it aligns with allocated budgets.\nImplement cost-saving strategies without compromising on quality.\nConduct market research to identify the best prices and value for money on products and services.\n\nCompliance & Documentation\nEnsure that all purchasing activities comply with internal policies and external regulations.\nKeep accurate and up-to-date records of all purchases\n\nReporting\nPrepare regular reports on procurement activities, stock levels, and supplier performance.\nProvide management with updates on cost-saving opportunities and procurement issues.\nReport on discrepancies in order quantities or quality and work with suppliers to resolve them.\n\nProblem-Solving & Issue Resolution\nAddress and resolve any issues with suppliers, such as delays in deliveries, defective products, or pricing discrepancies.\nLiaise with the relevant departments to ensure timely resolution of procurement-related problems.\n\nDisclaimer: The duties and responsibilities outlined above are not exhaustive and may change from time to time based on business needs.
