In this hands-on field position, you'll install, maintain, and recover permit boxes and driveway blockers that help keep construction sites organized, compliant, and safe.\nIf you enjoy working outdoors, take pride in quality workmanship, and like working independently, we'd love to hear from you.\nWhat You'll Do\nAs an Installation Technician, you'll be responsible for the safe and professional installation and maintenance of permit boxes and driveway blockers at active construction sites.\nResponsibilities include:\nInstall permit box stands, permit boxes, adapters, decals, and driveway blockers according to company standards.\nEnsure all equipment is secure, level, visible, and compliant with safety requirements.\nRemove and recover equipment upon project completion.\nInspect equipment for damage and perform minor repairs or prepare components for replacement.\nAssemble, paint, and prepare new permit box stands as needed.\nMaintain inventory of installation materials, hardware, decals, and tools.\nDocument completed work using company software or mobile applications, including site photographs when required.\nCommunicate daily with supervisors regarding completed work, inventory needs, equipment issues, and job site concerns.\nMaintain a clean, organized company vehicle and ensure all tools are properly maintained.\nInteract professionally with builders, contractors, homeowners, inspectors, and utility representatives.\nReport safety hazards, vandalism, or damaged equipment promptly.\nFollow all company safety policies, OSHA requirements, and traffic control procedures.\nOccasional overtime and weekend work may be required.\nAssist with additional field operations and special projects as assigned.\nWhat We're Looking For\nHigh school diploma or GED preferred.\nValid driver's license with a clean driving record.\nAbility to safely operate company vehicles.\nConstruction, installation, landscaping, utility, or related field experience preferred.\nExperience using hand and power tools.\nComfortable working independently with minimal supervision.\nStrong attention to detail and organizational skills.\nBasic smartphone or tablet skills for work documentation.\nExcellent communication and customer service skills.\nPhysical Requirements\nThis is an active, outdoor position requiring the ability to:\nLift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly.\nWalk on uneven terrain throughout the day.\nBend, kneel, squat, climb, and work in varying weather conditions.\nTravel between multiple job sites daily.\nWhat Success Looks Like\nSuccessful technicians consistently:\nComplete installations accurately, efficiently, and safely.\nMeet daily productivity goals while maintaining high-quality workmanship.\nKeep company equipment organized and in excellent condition.\nAccurately document completed work and communicate project status.\nRepresent HB NEXT professionally at every job site.\nBenefits\nPaid vacation and holidays\nHealth insurance\n401(k) with company match\nVehicle reimbursement (Fixed Rate & Mileage)\nOn-the-job training (including OSHA, CPR/First Aid certification)\nOpportunities for professional growth and career advancement\nWhy Join HB NEXT?\nAt HB NEXT, we're committed to helping builders and contractors stay compliant while creating safer job sites.
