You will be the primary point of contact for our Spain/UK locations on accounting matters and would coordinate closely between HBA US & Philippines accounting offices, as well as local tax/accounting consultants.\nKey Responsibilities:\nCoordinate day-to-day accounting and finance requirements for the Spain office with the UK Admin team and the accounting office in the USA/Philippines.\n\nServe as the local point of contact for accounting-related matters in Spain, ensuring requests and documentation are communicated accurately and addressed in a timely manner.\n\nReview, organize, and translate Spanish accounting, tax, banking, payroll, and other financial documents into English as needed for processing and review by the Finance team.\n\nCoordinate with the local Spanish tax/accounting consultant regarding statutory accounting requirements, tax filings, compliance matters, and other local finance requirements.\n\nProvide the USA/Philippines accounting team with the information and supporting documentation required to maintain the company's accounting records.\n\nAssist in reconciling local accounting and statutory information with Group accounting records and reporting requirements.\n\nFollow up with internal teams and external consultants to resolve accounting discrepancies, outstanding documentation, and compliance matters.\n\nSupport month-end and year-end closing activities and provide information required for statutory accounts, tax filings, and audits.\n\nEnsure that local accounting and tax deadlines are communicated to the appropriate finance teams and that required information is submitted on time.\n\nRequired Experience and minimum requirements:\nDegree in Accounting or equivalent with professional certification\n\nLocally based in Madrid and has the right to work in Spain\n\n2-3 years’ of relevant experience in Finance/Accounting\n\nPast audit experience is an advantage\n\nExcellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures\n\nGood written and verbal communication skills\n\nKnowledge in IFRS Accounting Standards; Taxation Law; etc.\n\nFamiliarity with Spanish accounting & tax requirements\n\nIndependent, diligent, analytical and self-motivated\n\nStrong analytical skills, meticulous with an eye for details.\n\nStrong communication and organizational skills and the ability to work effectively with finance teams located in multiple countries.\n\nExperience working in an international or multinational organization is preferred.\n\nFluency in both English and Spanish (verbal and written) is mandatory with the ability to translate and explain financial and accounting documentation between the two languages.\n\nDoes this sounds like you?
