Learn more at www.hbfuller.com.\nPosition Overview\nThe Engineering Manager leads a team supporting two manufacturing sites in South Bend, IN, driving safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance. This role focuses on continuous improvement, capital project execution, and developing engineering talent in a process safety environment. The position partners cross-functionally to optimize operations and implement scalable, data-driven solutions.\nPrimary Responsibilities\nLead and develop an engineering team, including coaching, performance management, and succession planning\n\nDrive process improvement through Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Kaizen methodologies\n\nIdentify and implement initiatives to improve safety, quality, productivity, and cost performance\n\nManage capital projects ($2M-$4M annually), including scope, budget, scheduling, and execution\n\nApply data analysis, automation, and technology to optimize manufacturing processes\n\nCollaborate with operations, maintenance, and quality teams to solve complex production challenges\n\nLead structured change management initiatives to support adoption and sustain improvements\n\nEnsure compliance with safety, regulatory, and quality standards, including Process Safety Management\n\nMinimum Requirements\nBachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field\n\n7+ years of engineering experience in chemical or process manufacturing environments\n\n3+ years of people leadership or supervisory experience\n\nDemonstrated experience leading process improvement initiatives with measurable outcomes (e.g., cost savings, efficiency gains)\n\nSix Sigma Green Belt certification and experience managing capital projects in a regulated environment\n\nExperience with PLC systems (e.g., Rockwell), SAP, and standard engineering software tools\n\nWork authorization to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship\n\nPreferred Requirements\nMaster’s degree in Engineering or related discipline\n\nProfessional Engineering (PE) license or PMP certification\n\nExperience with Quality Management Systems (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF, AS9100)\n\nExperience with CMMS systems and advanced data analytics tools\n\nPay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, and geographic location.\nThe salary for this role is $135,000-$160,000.In addition to your salary, H.B.
