{"id":3604349,"url":"https://alion.io/job/hbmngplc-central-control-room-operator-mfamosing","title":"Central Control Room Operator, Mfamosing","company":{"id":4485775,"name":"Hbmngplc","domain":"hbmngplc.com","url":"https://alion.io/company/hbmngplc","size_band":null,"is_staffing_agency":false,"employer_type":"direct","is_intermediary":false,"listed_via":null,"ats_vendor":"Zoho Recruit","truth_index":null},"role":"Field & Service","role_family":"Field & Service","seniority":"senior","employment_type":"full_time","work_mode":"on_site","remote_scope":null,"remote_scope_basis":null,"remote_working_hours":null,"hiring_geo_confidence":"structured","locations":["Nigeria"],"countries":["NG"],"hiring_countries":[],"hiring_countries_total":0,"salary":null,"salary_estimate":null,"experience_years_min":5,"visa_sponsorship":false,"relocation_package":false,"has_equity":false,"technologies":[],"status":"live","first_seen_at":"2026-11-02T11:01:42Z","employer_posted_date":"2026-11-02","last_verified_at":"2026-11-05T14:36:31Z","board_verified":true,"closed_at":null,"days_open":3,"trust":{"level":"ok","repost_count":null,"flags":[],"days_open":3},"description":"The objective of the Central Control Room Operator is to organize and coordinate the production shift team to achieve safe and efficient production of quality products, while optimizing effectiveness and cost per tonne.\nKey Responsibilities\nOperate the equipment according to HBM Nigeria Best Practice, with due consideration for the safety of personnel and equipment.\n\nControl all major process lines within the cement manufacturing operation, including equipment commissioning, start-ups, shutdowns and emergency condition management, as per established SOPs, in order to meet production requirements.\n\nContinuously monitor all plant process lines using all available tools to ensure employee safety, stable equipment operation, equipment integrity within prescribed design limitations, operating targets and environmental regulations.\n\nContribute to maintaining equipment in good working condition by complying with instructions for use, regularly monitoring the equipment and advising the Maintenance Department when necessary.\n\nEnsure protection of the environment in compliance with Huaxin Group standards within the fields of activities.\n\nCoordinate with production fieldmen for the smooth operation of the plant.\n\nMaintain quality within the range defined in the Quality Management System (QMS).\n\nMonitor production results (production volume, energy consumption, etc.) in order to meet the agreed Plant KPIs.\n\nFollow operational procedures (SOPs) in the execution of all tasks in the plant.\n\nOperate all equipment within HBM Nigeria and local environmental protection standards.\n\nDirect the activities of Patrollers, Process Assistants and mobile plant operators.\n\nDirect breakdown and problem-solving activities, including troubleshooting and determination of related overtime staffing needs.\n\nFollow continuous quality monitoring and make necessary adjustments to systems.\n\nServe as liaison with the Automation Engineer regarding problems with major equipment.\n\nServe as Plant Emergency Response Coordinator in the event of a serious production, environmental or safety incident.\n\nChampion the development and review of Standard Operating Procedures for the Production Department.\n\nConduct and lead safety meetings with shift personnel.\n\nMonitor all radio communications for problems and difficulties in the plant.\n\nComplete paperwork and record-keeping as required, including production and equipment reliability logs, work order entries, mill operating report data, etc.\n\nAssist in the operational and safety training of existing employees and the induction of new employees.\n\nComplete and conduct performance reviews of hourly employees in the Production Department.\n\nComply with EMS Production Instrumentation activities.\n\nEnsure involvement in the implementation and maintenance of the Integrated Management System in the plant.\n\nRequirements\nCritical Knowledge\nCompletion of the professional-level CCRO certification programme.\n\nGood knowledge of the operation and control of Vertical Roller Mill, Kiln and Finish Mill systems.\n\nGood knowledge of product quality parameters and quality control tests.\n\nGood knowledge of computer-aided systems for kiln and mill operation.\n\nAbility to take initiative based on sound problem-solving skills.\n\nCritical Experience\n2-3 years’ experience in a process industry, or OND in an Engineering discipline with Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Chemistry or Physics as the main subject.\n\n5-8 years’ experience in the cement industry.\n\nBenefits\nAt HBM Nigeria, our people are passionate about finding better ways to build.
